This hotel is a very economical option when making a quick trip to Canberra. Although the decor was dated, the room was spotlessly clean. Despite it being in the centre of Queanbeyan (and therefore only a 10-15min drive to central Canberra), it was quiet. Would definitely recommend to friends.

The $7.50 breakfast was interesting. I was asked on check-in if I wanted the cheap breakfast (their words), when I said yes I was shown a basket that contained small boxes of cereal (Nutri-Grain and Cornflakes), and some small jam and peanut butter spreads. I was told to pick one cereal and two spreads. I was then asked if I... More

Thank you Mark for choosing to stay with us and for your review, albeit quite negative. We are a small family run middle of the range motel catering for families, travellers and workers on a budget. We don't pretend to be luxury which maybe you were after. At $7.50 we think our 'light breakfasts' are reasonable and convenient. The cereal... More

An affordable, comfortable motel, central to many restaurants and shopping in down-town Queanbeyan. I think we had the only room for four, which had an oil heater, not air conditioning, but it was effective and quiet.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, You'll be pleased to know all 20 rooms have had their old aircons replaced for more energy efficient split systems and every room has also had it's new hydronic heater reinstalled - my favourite kind of heating. I can only think you must have been here during the transition week,... More

Being Parliament sitting time the Canberra motels were all charging ridiculous amounts so I opted to stay in Queanbeyan. The Mid City is opposite and near some of the best eateries in Queanbeyan, especially Canton Chinese and the Turkish Turquoise around the corner. My room was on the smallish side with a basic kitchenette but with no sink or cutlery/plate... More

Booked this motel at the last minute through booking.com and all went smoothly. The motel was clean, free wifi worked well and was easy to connect to. Great for a stay over night for our weekend visit to Canberra. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap and clean hotel. Water pressure in the showers was great and... More

We stayed for 3 nights, 2 rooms, and we enjoyed our visit very much. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and adequate for our stay. There was a nice area outside our room where could sit with our other family members and relax. The motel is older but I believe it is going to have... More

Decided to stay at a more central motel than where we usually stay when in Queanbeyan - wrong decision. Whilst the owner was friendly and cheerful on checking in there was a lot of noise coming from the adjoining residence. We were given an upstairs room - would have preferred a downstairs room as we are not spring chickens any... More

We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The motel is centrally located in the main CBD with plenty of eateries and supermarkets nearby. We stayed on the lower level and our room was located in the back right hand corner of the complex, it was lovely and quiet and we didn't hear any traffic noise at... More

Really pleased with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, extra facilities such as iron/ironing board and the friendly helpful staff attitude. Great central location and reasonable price. Ample off-street parking. Would definitely stay there again.
