This was the best decision of our trip. My friend and I were travelling along the coast and were happy to arrive at this welcoming small town. The hosts of this hostel were amazing, more like friends letting us stay at their place. Thanks to that, the atmosphere at the hostel was great and we met a lot of people.... More

It was difficult to find even with a GPS as the street was divided. We stayed 1 night only. Staff were very helpful. This hostel well suits single backpacker on minimal budget as it was very basic. No air conditioning.

We stopped here on our way up north just for somewhere to crash for the night. The owner and the employees took us all out and showed us around town for the night. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying another night. Well priced and well worth your time.

The folks who run this hostel really know how to have a good time. It used to be the Port Macquarie YHA, but was bought by a group of ex-backpackers who just wanted to have a great time. Now it's THE place to stay in Port. Bring your ukulele; but only if you know how to play it!

I didn't have anywhere book but the single review on wikicamps was very favourable. When I arrived there was no mistaking the place as the bright purple roof shone like a beacon. So few places make you feel instantly welcome and part of a community right from the outset....but this place did. Exceptionally friendly staff and likewise the guests carried... More

All the staff here are very welcoming, hospitable and attentive. Free pick up and drop off to the greyhound. Was invited to get Dominoes and invited to join surfing which would cost is money anywhere else so that side of things is very good. The hostel it self is very different to the majority in Australia I would say. It... More

This is such a welcoming hostel, it feels like staying at your best friends mum's house that likes to have the odd drink! The staff are really friendly and they're more than willing to help and take you out surfing for the day. The showers/ toilets are a little grotty but they were doing up the entire place when we... It was The nicest hostel I have ever been. Rooms are clean, but bathrooms could use a little make up and cleaning from floor to roof. We arrived at 5 am and rest of the morning it was okay to chill on the sofas until our room was ready. There is a free and fast wifi, laundry room, help-yourself-wine, and... More

I loved staying at this hostel! It's very cozy and friendly. You actually see the staff cleaning daily, so you know the place is clean. Bathrooms are a little outdated, but nothing to be concerned about. I met a lot of nice people at this hostel, including the person I ended up travelling with for 5 weeks. They are very... More
