We were looking for a cheaper overnight stay within close proximity to the town centre that had an open car park where we could park our van easily. The Water Edge seemed to tick the boxes. It is located on a major road access into the town centre and being at a cross intersection car be tricky to exit right.... More

I have stayed at this hotel a number of drives from Queanbeyan to the Morten Bay region. The beds are really comfy and the staff are really friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I have travelled extensively, both in Australia and overseas so this recommendation does come from someone who has experience.

Older hotel but comfortable and very clean. Within very short walk of cbd and with lovely river views. Staff were all pleasant, friendly and most helpful. Priced well. Has a restaurent (not open Sunday's). Menu a bit pedestrian but prices ok for burger type foods. My fish taco was awful and cold but tonight had a brilliant steak baguette! Buffet... More

Booked a standard twin room which faces over the car park and adjacent to a fairly busy road - to get a room facing the river or pool you need to pay extra.. Room was reasonable and traffic noise etc was acceptable. Room was clean with modern furnishing and comfortable. I was able to connect to the wifi from the... More

Rooms are standard hotel rooms. Beds, bathroom and window with a balcony. Thats where it ends. The bar and restaurant is closed on Sundays, but the Westport Club next door more than compensates for this. Beautiful water views, especially at sunset. Even watched dolphins swimming by from our balcony. Breakfast was probably one of the cheapest going with plenty of... More

2 adults and one 3 year old paid $150 for the night. Great outlook onto the Hastings River. Clean, comfortable rooms. Would have been great to visit in the summer because the pool and outdoor bar looked very tempting! Good kids play area. Had the buffet breakfast which was great value ($25 for two people). Good walking distance to local... More

Have stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed the view, the surrounds of the hotel, lovely ambience sitting outside on the river's edge. Clean, comfortable rooms and although close to the CBD it was quite. Lovely walking track right past the hotel along the river to the entrance. Easy making it a base and sightseeing around the district. Would... More

We used this accommodation as a base while researching properties to buy in Port Macquarie. It is within walking distance to the CBD, yet has the relaxing atmosphere of overlooking the Hastings River. Staff were very obliging, even offering to carry our bags up to the first floor as the place does not have a lift. Restaurant facilities were good... More

We stayed overnight on our way back from Gold Coast , paid a small amount more for a room upgrade but it was well worth it as our room overlooked the river and away from the road , as five star girls we were impressed with this place , sure the rooms are a little older but everything was spotless... Had an overnight stay at waters edge motel on our way to sydney. Love staying there as it so close to everything. Walking distance to the local club where the food is very good . Standard room is very comfortable with a small balcony. This is our third stay there and will return.
