We stayed here overnight and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and helpful manager, good central location, which is in easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Port Macquarie. The room was spacious, clean , on the ground floor, ample parking and very reasonably priced tariff. The motel is on a hill, gets good sea breezes and is... More

Clean, big rooms close to the CBD and restaurants.Downstairs room was nicely appointed and fairly new.Quiet location, comfortable beds.Parking a little tight.Cheap accomodation without too much frill.Recommend to bargain hunters who want an address close to town.A bit shabby on the outside but this is not where you sleep.

Arrived late afternoon with no booking and was after a single room. Owner was able to offer a room that in his opinion was not up to standard as the aircon was not working. Motel was booked out otherwise. I was offered a discount. Room was was ideal with a nice sea breeze. Walk down Willliam Street to the bowling... More

We stayed here on our way to Melbourne from Coffs Harbour, we arrived late in the night (8pm) and was greeted by the owner who was lovely. We stayed in a twin room, the room had a queen bed and single, ensuite and the usual facilities you'd expect in a motel room. The air-con worked great at heating our room... More

We found this motel to be very good value for our one night stop over. We paid $85 after trying a motel a few streets away who wanted $120 / night. It as clean and tidy had all the facilities that you require for a short term stay. Would recommend to anyone in a similar situation. Still within walking distance... More

It's a little tired. Nothing really bad comes to mind. We were in a 'de luxe ' room on the first floor which had a balcony where we could sit in the sun and enjoy a drink. The aircon was rather noisy. The host was very accommodating. Easy walking distance to waterfront and restaurants and shops.

I arrived just after 5pm and checked in, went into the room and attempted to call reception to find out the wifi code only to find that the phone in the room didn't work. I ended up having to walk back to reception and they had closed and locked up for the night. Teenagers were running through the carpark yelling... More

Having been delayed we ended up having to stop over in Port Macquarie for an unscheduled night on a recent road trip and the husband booked us in here ( he's not one for reading reviews ). I was disappointed with our surly greeting, literally handed a key and pointed in the direction of the room. The room was functional... More

If you ever want a cheap place to stay in Port Macquarie AVOID the Excelsior motor inn. We had a faulty jug in our room, it didn't switch off just kept on boiling. Would have burnt dry and caught fire if we'd left it. When I called the managers to ask for another (needed to boil water for baby bottles)... More

I arrived to Port Mac at 10am with oversized luggage and Noel (the manager) allowed me to leave my luggage in the reception until check in. The room had lots of room for activities, was clean and I did not see any creepy crawlies. They are aged rooms, but for the purpose and the cost I was more than satisfied... More
