My husband and I stayed here for our 3 year anniversary. We wanted something mystical and timeless that was only a short distance from Sydney. We have previously stayed at a few venues in the Hunter and after hearing great feedback from others about Peppers Convent and particularly about Robert's Circa 1876 we booked it. From the minute we drove... More

This really was an amazing stay for us. We loved everything about it- the service was of such a high standard and the room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend away. Roberts Circa 1876 on the other hand was average and overpriced. Don't let that deter you from Peppers Convent- there... More

I booked this hotel after taking up an internet deal for a 2 night stay plus breakfast and a few other extras. Because we booked through a special deal I was not expecting a very high standard but I was pleasantly surprised. Our room (double) was very comfortable and was well appointed with a good shower and a deep bath,... More

We have recently after your stay opened our new restaurant at the Convent called Restaurant Eighty Eighty. It is now open 7 days for lunch and Friday & Saturday nights for dinner. Peppers Convent is beautifully located on an estate shared with Peppertree vineyard, Tower Estate wines and Roberts restaurant. The gorgeous building and surroundings really make this stay special. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, but to eat lunch or dinner here you have to leave the hotel as they do not have a restaurant. If Roberts does not grab you (we... More

Just spent the weekend at Peppers Convent and would highly recommend it for both the accommodation and the food. We purchased a discount deal that included breakfast and afternoon tea and have been very pleased with the quality of all aspects.

We had been planning a stay at the convent for a very long time. We had lived in the area when the building was first moved to its new site and always thought 'one day'. Well our day finally came, we stayed there this weekend. We had booked for the previous weekend but they rang to cancel our booking due... More

Peppers Convent is a very comfortable boutique hotel in a quiet corner of Pokolbin. All staff we met were helpful, professional and welcoming. Our room was an adequate size with French doors opening onto a lovely verandah. Surprising omissions were the lack of reading lights on the bed head and no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Breakfasts were lovely as... More

Great place for a winter weekend away. Not too far from Sydney and the package with afternoon tea, dinner at Roberts and breakfast is a great combo. Rooms are excellent and the pretty amongst the vines superb.

The Convent in Pokolbin is certainly perfect in every way. The luxurious rooms and living areas were well appointed with crisp sheets and towels and everything you could possible need. The gardens and vineyards on view were so beautiful especially from the cane lounge suite on our spacious veranda. As for food everything was amazing. The lovely breakfast of fresh... More

Never have I had such trouble trying to confirm a booking. We booked a room here and were sweet talked into booking their most expensive room. We were told we would get an email confirmation and that they would take 50% as confirmation. They took 100% and we never got an email to confirm our booking. We rang three times... More
