We spent 2 wonderful nights in these beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the lodge and loved everything about it. It is spick and span and the lovely touches of muffins, complementary wines and the fire made for a perfect couple of days. Not to mention the amazing views, would definitely recommend and is top of my list for Hunter Valley... More

A group of us - 4 adults stayed in Berenbelle for 3 nights and we enjoyed every moment of it. The host Ken and Suzie were very hospitable. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The backyard opens up to wonderful view of vineyards and mountains. The mini-kitchen was very well equipped and stocked with continental breakfast. The location of... More

A beautiful location for a quiet weekend away. Relaxing and surrounded by the peace and beauty of the hunter wine country. Just delightful, comfortable, cosy and convenient. Ken and Suzie were delightful hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Berenbell. The cottages are well equipped and spacious for two people. Each cottage is located far enough apart on the grounds to be private and quite secluded. The breakfast provisions were sufficient, including cereals, bread, fresh fruit, milk, orange juice, a selection of teas and coffee. The complimentary wine and home cooked... More

We stayed at Berenbell for three nights, the accommodation is very good. Not glamorous, but there is everything you need. The views over the mountains is sensational, its down a dead end street, so there is no traffic noise, and is close to the wineries and some fabulous restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. The only downside is that when... More

A two night stay in a wonderful lodge, suited for 4 people, modern open place lounge downstairs with views and seating for eating outside, nice downstairs bedroom with ensuite and upstairs master suite with ensuite. Very clean and central spot for wine tasting as you do. Also if you ask Ken the owner, if you're only seen one or two... More

I stayed with my partner and her family and everyone absolutely loved it. The first thing that strikes you when you arrive is the fantastic views down the valley across the vineyards and towards the hills. It's not too far from civilisation but does feel nicely remote. Luckily it seemed the other lodges weren't in use, which added to the... More

I just returned from a three day mid week stay at Berenbell. It was great staying at Berenbell as it was really close to lovely wineries. Blue Tongue Brewery is just up the road so we wandered up there one afternoon for a few drinks. It was a quick drive for my partner to play golf, visit his favourite wineries... More

I went with my partner last weekend for the annual Jazz in the Vines festival. The retreat is on Mistletoe Lane, in the midst of wineries and restaurants in the upper Hunter area between the towns of Cessnock, Broke and Singleton. Gorgeous location with views of the mountain range. A short walk down the road there is a larger resort... More

Berenbell Retreat was a perfect venue for our extended family group. Large cottages could accommodate everyone for meals, whilst we all had our own space when required. Great grassy play areas for the kids. Views to die for. Extremely well appointed, lacking nothing. Hosts Ken and Susie set a standard to which all others could aspire, even providing welcome home-made... More
