Was very disappointed in this hotel. Firstly image on website was not what the hotel actually looked like. The staff was rude when we checked in. They call it a boutique hotel, but dim lightly and some big furniture in the hallways does not a boutique hotel make. The rooms are OK, but getting very run down and smell of... More

Bit strange staying in accom attached to a hotel that is closed/near empty most of the time. Room facilities excellent. Bit far along Hunter Street but I like Newy so not a prob for me. Close to River walking which is a plus, over to river and turn right provides a great walk experience. Would stay again!!

I am in a wheelchair. The room was big, plenty of room for the chair and a very big roll in shower. While the pub is fairly old, it is very clean and the room has all the facilities and amenities supplied that you would expect in a hotel / motel. A very good $12 lunch, mainly burgers and fries... First arrived, waited at the service desk for a good 10 minutes until the person we could hear out the back talking on the phone served us. I ordered a room for 4 people, once I got to the room it was obvious it was the exact same room they would give to 2 people, just at a higher price... More

My partner and I were not going to bother with this review; but seeing as we've been urged to do so via email, here it goes. Overall the experience was completely unsatisfactory and disorganised from beginning to end. I received a call from a hotel representative a few days out from the booking to inform me that as it was... More

As soon as we walked in the door the service was excellent, the lady at reception was very lovely and helpful. When we went for dinner on the Friday night Karen and her staff were so accommodating even though they were so busy and yet they still could fit us in, Thank you guys. As for the meals we had,... I usually stay at the nearby Crowne Plaza but the rates were too high and decided to try the Clarendon. A very warm welcome and a very nice suite overlooking the courtyard. Room was spacious, clean with a very comfortable bed. It is above a pub so I can imagine it can get noisy but on a Wednesday night I... More
