Great service and food. Staff go out of their way to be of service. Especially friendly in the dining room. Comfortable rooms. Neighbourhood is noisy and a bit run down. Close to CBD and water. A circular drive would help.

Great location. Great service . Great hospitality. Great surrounds. Plenty of transport. Beautiful scenery walk along foreshore. Hope to come back and highly recommend to friends and family. One very satisfied patron.

The room was clean and tidy. Outside noise was a problem in our room There was a late opening hotel across the road and the music could be heard from our room. To cap it off an alarm was going off all night as well

Stayed a few weeks ago and there is nothing particularly memorable about the place. It's the type of place that doesn't leave you with a bad experience, but equally doesn't improve your trip to Newcastle. Wouldn't recommend it, but also wouldn't not recommend it. It was just so so, it did the job.

We stayed one night and found the accommodation comfortable with the added bonus of a microwave, plates, bowls & cutlery (which if you are on a budget, can save you the expense of buying breakfast or lunch, leaving more funds for dinner out). The location was good, being within walking distance to all the great Darby Street restaurants and cafes.... More

The hotel is close to shopping centre and food outlets, easy to get to by car with parking facilities - although this is at a cost. Room very well appointed - clean and comfortable - great nights sleep

Stayed one night at here through a Wotif Mystery deal for a 4-star hotel. This hotel is more like a 3 star hotel, very old with cheap looking refurbishments in places, but clean and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and there was a pool (didn't see or use it), happy hour etc. The only downside was the included... More

Our overnight stay at Travelodge Newcastle was very comfortable. The staff were helpful & made check in easy which we appreciated after a very long day of travel & late check in around 11pm. Breakfast was quite nice, postition a little noisy but thats to be expected on a Sat night in town. Would stay there again. Good value for... More

There are some great bonuses with this place. It’s very central to Newcastle with a big shopping centre right across the road and the Honeysuckle Precinct and Darby Street (great places to eat) being within walking distance. I was greeted by quite friendly staff, had a nice spacious room with a comfy lounge and a table and chairs in my... More

Clean and friendly staff are friendly. This is the option of you just need a pillow to rest the head - It's not going to be the part of the holiday you neccesarily want to do again. It ain't a boutique b&b
