We had a one night stay at Bimet's apartments and were very glad it was only for one night. We tried to find feedback from other visitors prior to booking but could only find feedback for the motel which was positive so we booked. The apartments are very old. Our medium size car couldn't fit in the tiny garage. We... More

Stayed for business. An average room which was charged at a reasonable price. The room was quite standard which was clean, quite and the bed was comfortable. I did not find many restaurants within close walking distance.

We stayed 2 nights at th BEM as our base to explore the city of Newcastle. In short it is an ideal excellent value motel. She is a little dated, but clean and rooms are large. The shower is one of the old fashion, heaps of water and relaxing. A couple of downsides is that the location on Union St... More

The Bimet Executive Lodge is value for money with reasonably appointed rooms and furnishings, set in a very handy location close to the attractions of The Junction and restaurants of Darby Street. There's free parking and it's in a fairly quiet location. Breakfast is expensive, and you may consider the many restaurants around the area as alternatives. The staff were... More

Rooms (particularly bathrooms) in need of some maintenance and a general update. Bedding uncomfortable and hard. Pretty disappointed overall. No wireless Internet offered. Mobile phone reception - including data (3G Optus) poor and unreliable at this location. Would not choose to stay again.

After searching for reasonably priced accommodation within walking distance of Newcastle CBD we discovered the Bimet, which was a a 10 minute walk to KIng st and Darby St restaurants. It is motel style with complimentary parking and quiet eventhough it is on a fairly busy street during the day. The staff are friendly and helpful and checkin was easy.... More

Three of us stayed in a family room over the weekend, which was a good size, with comfortable beds, and in a generally quiet area of town However, after checking in to our room (at far end of a corridor), we could hear a lot of noise from a group of blokes all drinking fairly heavily chatting to a group... I was in Newcastle for work and was recommended this motel by work colleagues. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are good, it's nice and quiet, the beds are comfortable and the shower is nice and strong. There is a good range of channels on the tv (2 movie channels plus discovery and some sports plus all the free... More
