We travelled to Dubbo for the June long weekend with 3 other families. After visiting Dubbo several times on other occasions we thought we'd stay in one of the few 4.5 star hotels in Dubbo. Well, what they don't tell you is not all of their rooms are 4.5 stars. It's a quite large complex with varying types of accomodation... more

We regularly stay here when we visit Dubbo. We live on a property an hour and a half away from Dubbo and we stay here when there is an event on in Dubbo or we want to spend a few days shopping or going to the movies with the kids. The good thing about the Cattleman's is they have self... more

We have stayed at a number of different hotels, motels and apartments around NSW on various holidays and weekends away and I can say that the sevice here was the worst we have ever experienced. The staff at all Dubbo's attractions that we came across were fantastic but the service at this hotel especially at reception but also in the... more

This is a large motel and we had a 2 bedroom spa apartment, Queen bed & 2 singles. The room was clean and comfortable however no where to put bags or unpack. Would have liked a marked parking spot. The main bedroom had sliding door opening onto a balcony which overlooks quiet park and the river with a table and... more

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (double bed in one room and two singles in the other as well as bathroom, kitchen and lounge area). Rooms were very clean. Service was fine - friendly, easy check in/out. Indoor pool was great for the kids to have a swim. Good location on a main road and we didn't hear any... more

We stayed at one of the serviced apartments at the Cattlemans last month and had a great time. The apartment was fantastic, really clean and comfortable, with great views over the river from the balcony. The kids loved it as well. My parents stayed in a double and their room was beautiful. This place is of a very high standard... more

Although the service was great, the rooms were definitely not 4 star (hard beds, sparse and outdated furniture, limited toiletries) and the $16.50 breakfast was not worth half of that. We stayed two nights and on the second day we went to McDonald's instead. The location is convenient, but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're spending very minimal time... more

Do not pass through Dubbo without stopping at the cattlemans country motel. The cattlemans is always a highlight for myself on business trips and my family members also stay there when travelling the length of the Newell highway. The resturant is as good as any high profile city resturant that i have dined at.(eating fine food is my vice in... more

Not only did the room smell like dirty dish water but the carpet in the room that we were staying in was as wet as anything from the spa. The room was very clinical and very plain. One night my partner and I went out and when we came back we could not park in front of our own room...I... more

Our family were disappointed in this motel, after looking forward to our Dubbo Zoo holiday for months. The room we stayed in was extremely dated, which wouldn't have been a problem if it had been clean. The bathroom was appalling with cracked tiles, rust on the shower curtain and mildew on the curtain. It also smelled quite musty and the... more
