Recently stayed on three occasions in the delux two bedroom spa unit and have to say out of all the motels we have stayed at due to our constant travel between Melb and Gold Coast this would have to rate as one of the best and Gorden and Lyn are the most friendly and easy to get on with hosts... The two rooms our group stayed in were spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner was amazing and very quiet. The only bad thing was the temperature of the fridge as things kept in it were beginning to freeze. Overall a very good stay though.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, crisp white sheets, lovely soft bed cover. The air conditioner was so quiet you couldn't tell if it was on. Lovely clean bathroom with lush towels, loved my stay here

Stayed here recently. It is neat and tidy, owner was friendly and helpful and I picked it because I thought it would be quiet. Had trouble with the air conditioner timer during the night and could not get it to restart, though it did the next morning. Noticed the traffic noise without the air con but I would say that... I stayed here once about 8 years ago when it was somewhat newer I think, but as I hadn't been to Dubbo in some time and I'd left my run late I thought I'd give it a go and fortunately there were vacancies. It hadn't changed much since my last visit which at a guess would have been in 2007... More

The place is unassuming but it is quiet, relaxing and easy to get anywhere in town or outside within a couple of minutes Within easy walking distance of the Dubbo Zoo Has a pleasant relaxed style about it and not pretentious Handy for direct access north, east, south or west of town

There are a number of motels on the highway and they will all have some share of the traffic noise. In saying that, our room was at the back, very comfortable, large clean room, good beds, generous pillows, fluffy towels, towel warmer, good hot shower, large enough bathroom. Not much traffic noise and at night time it is less anyway.... More

This goes by the name of Akubra Motel now. Don't stay here if they only have a room near the road as it was quite noisy for most of the night. Having said that, the room was spacious, immaculately clean, the shower worked well and there were nice touches such as a towel warmer and Twinings tea.

We chose this motel on our way home from Queensland and this will now be our stopover choice. The rooms were spacious and very clean and bed and pillows comfortable. The towels were large and fluffy and there was even a towell warmer which was a nice touch. We selected a room at the back and heard no traffic noise... More
