We stayed in 'Elephant' Lodge which is furthest from the guest house but the most private. Lovely accommodation with a comfy king size bed, we opened out the double sofa for our child & fit a small baby cot in the tent as well. Huge shower & bath with good hot water pressure. Nice deck with lounge at the front... More

I am not a real camping loving person. My family really wanted to camp on the way to QLD so I booked this. Loved everything. The tent was perfect for me, bathroom, proper bed, heating, real luxury, would 'rough it' all the time like this. Watching the giraffes from the decking with supplied binoculars (not necessary) was a highlight for... More

From the moment you arrive at the lodge you are made feel like you have arrived somewhere very special and that you are a very special part of that. Every moment is geared towards special encounters, both animal and family bonding over great food. You are personally taken to your beautiful and exciting accommodation (glamping) and the facilities thoroughly explained.... More

From the time you check in to check out we were constantly left amazed. Staff were always friendly and extremely accommodating. We travelled with a 16mth old and nothing was too difficult for them. The tours were so well organized and the personal encounter you get with the animals just leave you speechless. Hands down the best experience ever!!

WOW.......... I can only agree with all the recent comments about the Zoofari experience. Totally blown away by everything. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and if they didn't know the answer to any question, they said that we could Google it!!!! Witty and friendly. My wife left my tablet behind in the room (she blames me, but we all know... More

The Zoofari Lodge offers a wonderful experience in every way. Access to the zoo over 2 days is available so this is great. We stayed in Giraffe Lodge which was just beautiful. The furnishings and amenities are excellent and its location overlooking the savannah is just great, although the zebras definitely work as an alarm clock at daybreak. But that's... More

Anzac day Australia saw my family, (my wife and 3 adult daughters and myself) venture to Zoofari at Western Plains Taronga Zoo near Dubbo. Upon arrival at the zoo we were greeted warmly at the visitors centre where we were quickly given a rundown on our booking at Zoofari Lodge, and all other details of the overall package. We booked... Our expectations were surpassed during our stay. We spent the night in dubbo before taking advantage of a full day in the zoo before starting our zoofari experience. From arrival we were greeted by friendly and professional staff. The accommodation was beautiful and generous. Big fluffy towels, nicely appointed bathrooms and comfy beds. Meals provided were fantastic and plentiful. The... More

John, Kyla, Naomi, Sam and the team were nothing but extremely helpful and friendly for our whole stay. From being met at the carpark to checking in to our luxury tent, all was smooth and easy. John and Kyla are the Zoofari guides, driving the two zebra painted buses and taking us on the tours "behind the scenes". We were... More
