All the staff were helpful and treated everyone well, nothing was a problem. My style of camping, waking up to see the giraffe right in front of the tent was definitely a highlight. Loved the tours to get so close to the animals with a personal guide amazing!. then there was the food....... Hard to say what I liked the... More

The tents are absolutely superb and justify in themselves a stay there. However we didn't like the rest of the experience. The "safaris" tours are a poor zoo experience. A lot of animals are by themselves in their enclosure and the all thing is a bit sad looking... The food was great but you have to be lucky with who... More

It is very comfortable tent style rooms overlooking the zoo enclosure of giraffes. It is full service from greeting on arrival through to escorted private tours of the zoo itself with feeding opportunities. The room has climate control air-conditioning and are sound proofed. The mirrors in the bathroom open up allowing views out into the zoo and cabin. It has... More

Yes it is not cheap at $767 a night for 2 adults and my 7 year old son but think about it for what you get. 2 day park pass for all the family, bike hire for 2 days, dinner and breakfast for all and the animal tours. We had only 9 people in our group. As for the accommodation... More

The zoo side of the 1 night/20 hour stay was a great success, accommodation whilst extremely cold, was good and tours lived up to expectations. The 'hospitality' aspect left us with a sense of Zoofari Lodge being run for the benefit of the organisation rather than the guests. Given the cost of it, we think attention must be given to... This is a wonderfully presented lodge with all the luxury touches and a perfect view. My 2 children were very comfortable in the sofa bed. The food was great and the guided tours by the staff were fun and educational.

I stayed at lodge on a Saturday night, the lodge/tent was very nicely set up but without the savannah view, it's really a tent in a paddock, you aren't allowed there till 2 and the tour at 3.30 which is great and informative, you finish as it's going dark so don't really get to enjoy the serenity, at night, listening... Our family of 4 visited Zoofari Lodge and can't speak highly enough of it. We stayed in an animal view lodge and whilst it was cramped it was exactly as advertised so there were no surprises. Heating was fine given it was in the middle of one of the coldest snaps in ages. Waking up to the animals was just... More

A must if you come to Dubbo. Accommodation is excellent, you can easily imagine you are in darkest Africa rather than central NSW. Food is good, service friendly and helpful. Great if you have kids and suitable for large families or groups of friends. Expensive yes but a unique experience.
