Absolutely the best $1000 I have spent on the family this year! Great that 25% will go to animal conservation. Great Zoo, great accomodation, action packed, delicious food, happy kids, awesome showers, comfy beds, reasonably priced minibar. And spectacular views to wake up too - giraffe, zebra, eland wandering the Savannah - wished we could have stayed longer.

Not cheap but the best possible value for money. Our party booked the new lodges and had an enchanting visit Where to start with the superlatives?? The lodge was luxurious but even better where else will you get giraffe, elands and zebras looking in to your room to see if you are awake? I notice that another reviewer down rated... More

Everything was 5 star, the only downfall was the heater in our "tent" but other than that, the food, the experience, the knowledge was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Emma, was a wealth of knowledge, especially about the Rhino's...it was WOW. Highly recommend!!

What a truly special, unique treat! Imagine your own luxurious "tent"-like lodge (yes, 5 star everything - bedding, shower facilities, plush bath-robes, slippers, beautiful ambience that comes from great timber, fantastic meals in a wonderful "common" area, private group tours of the zoo by knowledgeable, passionate staff) and looking out to this savannah with giraffes, zebras, buffalo literally at your... These tents are something else. Luxurious rooms with canvas walls, airconditioning, a gorgeous bathroom where the shower stall is the size of most motels' entire bathroom. And they look out over the veldt where giraffes and zebras roam, appearing out of the morning mist only a few metres from your verandah. Any reservations? Well it's a bit disturbing that the... More

Like most reviews of the accommodation we loved it also. I was a little worried that my tall 13year old teenager and tall 11year old wouldn't be comfortable in the sofa bed but there were no complaints from them and they slept right through the night, not even the torrential rain woke them up! We all enjoyed the food, especially... More

My partner and I stayed in the Rhino lodge in the new section of Zoofari. These are truly "lux" tents and are really nothing like traditional camping. Air con, minibar, an awesome bathroom with bath and a comfortable bed are all part of the package not mention the view- from the sheltered deck, which overlooks the Giraffes and Zebras as... More

We are a family of four (kids 8 and 5) and stayed in the "Lion" Lodge which is one of the new Savannah View lodges. This is true "glamping" - spacious "room" with an enormous modern bathroom which had one of the best showers I have experienced in any type of accommodation anywhere. Bed was large and very comfortable although... More

We stayed in 'Elephant' Lodge which is furthest from the guest house but the most private. Lovely accommodation with a comfy king size bed, we opened out the double sofa for our child & fit a small baby cot in the tent as well. Huge shower & bath with good hot water pressure. Nice deck with lounge at the front... More
