We were here two years ago, and had a wonderful time. The lovely Pauline met us upon arrival and was as helpful as ever. Everything is so relaxed. There were other people staying at the same time, but we didn't see them. It was lovely to be able to get our own breakfast with real coffee. The late afternoons were... More

Thank you for your review and welcome back. We are very glad you had a lovely time at the Imperial on your second trip. We are happy to say we enjoy seeing many of our guests again and again. Whilst we strive to make the Imperial unique, you can't beat having a drink on that big verandah. More

We arrived at about 4:00pm and were greeted by name by a very helpful lady who checked us in and left us to our own devices after a thorough tour and explanation of the place. After settling in we enjoyed a drink on the verandah and explored the grounds before setting off to dinner at the palace. Our room was... More

Stayed here for business in March of this year and loved it! Things seemed to have changed since other reviewers' visited. Breakfast was cooked at request but nothing surpasses the beauty and cleanliness of the rooms! I'm a big one for clean bathrooms and this hotel did it for me. My room had easy access to the varendah and the... More

We were lucky enough to have the hotel to ourselves and what an experience. Being from overseas, it was fantastic to have the opportunity to stay in an heritage (former pub) building with the traditional verandah. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. Our host was very friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely... More

We had two nights in this glorious old hotel. Aymeric met us at the door and was the consummate host - we felt like we were visiting a private home. The room was lovely with a real olde worlde atmosphere enhanced with fine china pieces. Everything about our stay was perfect right down to the double glazing on the street... More

We enjoyed our one night stopover at this 100 year old restored hotel. We didn't meet the resident ghost. It is good to see our Australian heritage being looked after and one could picture this hotel in the golden years. The room was ok, clean comfy bed and plush towels, tho we were not keen on the bifold door to... More

We stayed one night only and would have loved more time. The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfy and had the most peaceful night's sleep. Went out to dinner at a recommended restaurant nearby, which didn't disappoint. The young man hosting was very pleasant and charming. The breakfast idea did not work for us, for a number of... More

The Imperial was a touch of luxury with beautiful rooms and a wonderful verandah on which to end your day with wine and cheese. The breakfast was fresh and varied. A great place to base your explorations of this amazing town and surrounding countryside.

We stayed 2 nights in a family apartment, King size bedroom and 2 singles in separate room. Ideal for family of four. Big living area with kitchen area (fridge/microwave in addition to shared kitchen outside of apartment) and separate bathroom. Access out on to Verandah of hotel. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. Didn't hear any noise from others... More

I agree with the previous comments. We had two nights here and it was excellent. We had a beautifully appointed room. The staff were great. The place was great. Don't hesitate. It's outstanding. An oasis in a tough but very rewarding town.
