I was blown away with the Victorian era building, the homely designed rooms and treatment by staff. The wrap around balcony was my favourite, giving exceptional views of the area. The pool was spectacular, too bad it was winter.

the Imperial is just wonderful ! Once you step inside the grand old building , you immediately have a sense of calm , or do I daresay , Serenity . We were made to feel extremely welcome on arrival . The refrigerator was well stocked with eggs , bacon , yoghurt and cheese . Plenty of fresh fruit , cereals... More

We are glad you got such enjoyment from staying at our hotel (by the way it is listed with the National Heritage Commission). We get lots of good comments about the breakfast system, it gives the guest more flexibility and it helps guests to be able to maintain their personal space in the morning if they want it. If provisions... More

I must admit when I booked a nights stay at The Imperial Fine accomodation I did not fully study the other reviews and thought the Imperial was one of Broken Hills famous old Hotels. It is however a fine heritage style building and well preserved. It is more of a guest house or B and B and the owners do... More

We wanted a little taste of historical Broken Hill and the Imperial delivered. Old wood, dim lighting, heavy furniture in an impressive renovated old pub. Room was nicely appointed, clean, with small modern shower room. Beautiful courtyard and gardens with pool. Lovely second level verandah for breakfast or a drink. Great provisions for cook your own breakfast in shared kitchen... More

Thanks for your review and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our little hotel. I am particularly pleased that you mentioned the garden as Broken Hill with its high summer temperatures, lack of water, and poor soil make gardening a hard slog. The court yard provides a great relief from summer heat as well. Hope you... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the imperial hotel. I stayed just over a month for work. The owners were lovely people who could not do enough for me but also gave me my space and privacy. I had to move rooms a couple of times as there were some big events while I was in town and the rooms... More

Hi Michelle Great having you and thank you for your review. Glad you didn't mind having to move out for race weekend but we are usually booked 12 months in advanced for the St Pat's races. Glad the apartment was what you needed for your long stay. Hope to see you again soon. Bill More

The Imperial hotel is very well preserved. We came to Broken Hill to learn about the town's history, and this hotel really made us feel like we were transported back in time. The rooms were large, quiet and comfortable. A highlight was sitting out on the vast balcony enjoying the sunset. Breakfast was self-serve, including cooking our own eggs and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the homely feel. Great spot. Nice and central. Walk everywhere. Clean and bright. Breakfast when you want. Sleep in nice too. Offstreet parking. All you could ask of a B&B. We'll be back

Great, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the Imperial is central and an easy walk to the down town highlights. It is also very close to Sturt park which has a very good children's playground. We have double glazed the windows, initially to keep out dust, but they also work well to keep out noise which no doubt... More

We had a great stay at the Imperial. Suitable for large groups as well as families or couples. Only a short stroll from the main strip. Beautiful authentic interiors and lovely helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Thanks for your review. Glad that the crew enjoyed their stay and that the space and amenities worked well for you. The Imperial is a great place for small groups, small enough to provide you with a cosy stay but big enough that you can find private spaces within the hotel and gardens. You were very lucky to get your... More

Our family of four stayed in an apartment with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette, large living room and large open verandah space. We could also use the large communal kitchen, as well as billiards room, lounge and pool. We had a tv and DVD player in our room (with dvds to borrow) and dining table. The beds were very comfortable. After... More

Thank you for your review and we are glad that you had a lovely stay. The apartment is a lovely big space for travelling families. We have often thought about adding laundry facilities but there is insufficient space in the apartment, we didn't want to destroy the sense of space, but we understand the convenience of having your own washing...
