The hotel building itself is magnificent but is now being under used with simply bedrooms on offer. There's no mini bar and no food to be had except for a 'cook your own' breakfast, which would have been a struggle if more than a few guests wanted breakfast at the same time. Fortunately we were the only guests it seemed.... More

We stayed at the Imperial for three nights and really enjoyed the experience. Prior to arriving, we had to changed our booking a number of times due to car trouble however, the owner was always courteous and accommodating. The rooms are lovely and the beds super comfortable with nice touches such as quality toiletries and dressing gowns. My favorite spot... More

A lovely spacious old hotel restored to its former glory - with some luxurious touches. We had a gorgeous big room, with air con that wasn't noisy and all the other mod cons. The pool was fab in the summer heat. A great place to spend a few hours in the middle of the day. Self serve breakfast on the... More

We had a lovely 5 night stay at 'The Imperial' and I would definitely stay there again. The beds were comfy the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the pool was a blessing with the heat. The bedrooms and en-suites were of a very high standard all with air-conditioning which is vital in Broken Hill. I loved sitting in... More

This old hotel has been done up in a stylish old fashioned way to a high level of comfort. Pre-dinner drinks and breakfast on the upstairs verandah was really cool and laid back. The manager, Bill, was very helpful and flexible. While breakfast is part of the room rate, you help yourself to the basic items and make your own... More

This hotel was perfect. Delightful staff and owner Bill, made our stay memorable. Close to town - 2 blocks easy walking, large comfortable rooms with air-con, ideal en-suite, refreshing pool in delightful Italian styled courtyard, self serve breakfasts with plunger coffee, a good selection of cereals, eggs and bacon, cheeses, fruit etc. and all enjoyed in the grand old style... The Imperial is spacious, cool and restful. The building has been tastefully restored and it is great to have the balcony to eat or sit out on in hot weather. The facilities are good: comfortable bed, good shower room, tv and fridge, dining room (never used?) lounge and billiard room with full sized table. The small swimming pool is very... More

Good pool to cool off. Dinner at the Junction Hotel is a must good dinner and dinning room. Visit the information centre it is walking distance and has... More

We came by the Indian Pacific and arrived at 5:30pm, took a taxi to the hotel. The receptionist was kind enough to let us use their phone to sort out our hire car. After about 10 calls, the owner drove us to the airport to pick up our car. HOW GOOD IS THAT!!!! This is a 4.5 star heritage hotel... More

It is a beautiful place, furnished for the period and really comfortable. Bed was really firm, but suited me....breakfast is generous but you do have to cook yourself! Night time on the balcony is very relaxing although the pub across the road is a bit rough it does not take away from the charm
