We'd stayed four days, we found the room was very clean and was serviced daily. We found the room nice and quiet and couldn't hear our neighbours. We ate some of our meals at the restaurant and found very good selection of meals and they were delicious.

This hotel is situated in the centre of Broken Hill and provides all you could want. Thought it might be noisy but no, very quiet. Staff are great, friendly and able to assist with questions and information on local attractions. The food in the restaurant was delicious, well presented, and arrived hot even though restaurant was full. Breakfast had lots... More

Stayed here for a few nights, each night the restaurant was full and the noise travelled to the rooms. When the restaurant finished you then had cleaners spending hours moving furniture and banging around until late at night so sleep was near on impossible. So inconsiderate!! The rooms are OK but in desperate need of a refresh. Overpriced and won't... More

I stayed here on business and the facilities are very good. Whilst it is an old hotel, the rooms have a modern touch. I slept well and there is plenty of room. Parking is a hassle - I had to park down around the corner. It is well situated and the breakfast is very good. Gluten free options are available... More

I stayed at the Royal Exchange for a week in July. While my room was small by modern standards it didn't lack for anything. I didn't eat or drink at the restaurant in the hotel, preferring to venture out into the Silver City.

We stayed for four nights and really liked the place. Our twin room was big enough, good sized bathroom, nice bathroom products, mini-bar etc... The beds were comfortable and the room nicely done. We had breakfast in the restaurant once, and food was fine. Parking is a bit of a hassle, moved the car a couple of times a day... More

This Hotel is well situated in Broken Hill. It has an onsite restaurant but is also very close to other eaterys. The room itself was very small and basically only fit the large bed and a chair. So made it a bit hard to eat my takeaway curry. Had to do it sitting on the bed. However the bed was... More

No lift, brusque staff, way too expensive, no service at breakfast. Room was TINY!, king size bed in a mouse size room. The bathroom was large, but would prefer smaller bathroom & larger room. No room for a table or to make a cup of tea. The balcony was unusable as it had no furniture! The couldn't give us a... More

Situated in Argent St at the centre of town. Very convenient walking distance to a number of the city's attractions. Pricey for a country town, but the Hill is not cheap at the best of times, so comparatively good value for clean, spacious, high ceilinged room with direct access to the very wide second story verandah [= balcony] which wraps... The Royal Exchange Restaurant is a wonderful art deco room with open fireplaces, a grand piano, and yes, a wide screen television showing the football. This restaurant has huge potential but keeps missing the mark. Prices are high (mid to high $30s for mains) and the wine list has a hefty mark up. Unfortunately neither the food or the service...
