Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. A/C is loud, rattles and squeaks constantly. Lucky if the air is cooler than outside. Dining room service on a very quiet night was poor. Food very substandard for the high price. Will not return, nor recommend.

A Great place to stay if you brought or rented your car. A fair walk from town & shops & all uphill on the way back. We stayed 8 nights, having travelled on the Explorer train service from Sydney. We found heaps to occupy our time with a selection of Museums,Galleries, & City Tours. we hired a car for a... More

The room was tiny, just room for the bed. The toilet & shower ditto. It is a 1950's style motel. Their advertising claims the "air-conditioned room features views of the town & pool area". There is no view from the rooms, maybe if you climb onto the roof, not sure. It is on the fringe of town and a car... More

We had just come from a really bad experience at The Palace Hotel (where we left) and we were looking for something reasonably priced, comfortable and clean. We got it. We talked to the owners and they had taken over 12 months earlier. They were gradually renovating the rooms and we finished up with the last one on the end.... More

I was very impressed with the kind natured staff, and their attitude towards their guests from the moment I spoke to them. When we arrived in our room I was very impressed with the size of the family room and felt really comfortable. The room was very well kept and had modern facilities. I felt very relaxed and welcomed here,... More

The accomodation was of good standard, although when we arrived the smoke alarm had run out if battery and was alarming. When we enquired at the reception desk (as there wasn't a list stating a number for us to ring reception, or a mini bar price list) we were handed a battery and had to stand in a chair and fix... Really enjoyed the stay at the Hilltop. Room was clean and spacious, and well maintained throughout our stay. Close to town and the main highway, and easy to get around from there. Could park right outside the front door, which was a bonus. Didn't use the restaurant but it looked to be popular judging by the amount of people eating.... More

For work purposes the room was clean and tidy and a great price.....the air-conditioner warmed the room nicely when it was cold and wet outside. Close to town and a great lookout down the road. Will be staying here again when heading back, Thanks for the hospitality in a strange town!

Under new management, a rather tired old motel is welcoming. It looks as if the decor and the bed linen are being updated - and it's a comfortable stay. We ate in the restaurant, which saved going back into town. And we appreciated the view over the town from the lookout point just round the corner.

We stayed three nights in the Hilltop Motel in Broken Hill. The rooms are big enough with a double bed, a single bed and bathroom. Well equipped with fridge, coffee facilities etc. Car park is directly in front of your door. Good located on top of the hill. Just a few minutes to walk to the next restaurant and a... More
