We stayed 2 nights at the Grand. The Grand is right in the middle of the shopping centre, across the road from the Post Office. Both nights we found a place for dinner, very easily and quite cheaply. Although the building is about 120 years old, there were heaps of power points for all of the camera and Laptops. The... More

We recently stayed three nights (July 2014) in an ensuite room; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, liked the idea of having our pre-dinner drink in the cosy sitting room by the fire chatting to other travellers. A good help yourself continental breakfast in the dining room and always cake in the frig to have with a cuppa during the day.... More

Located in the heart of town, The Grand has everything you need and more. We arrived from two weeks in the desert to a warm welcome from Mandy, a wonderful hot bath with bath salts and a friendly sitting room with open fire. The home made cake and tea and coffee all day is a great extra on top of... More

If you like smooth, modern, streamlined accommodation, read no further. If, like me, you appreciate that old country pub atmosphere, this could be the place for you. With a choice of Ensuite rooms or Budget with shared bathroom, we opted for a Family Room with the Ladies and Gentlmens bathrooms at the end of the hall. The hallways are thickly... More

We stayed here en route to Brisbane from Alice. It was cheap $90 inc Brekky with shared bathroom facilities, however it was very very tired, soo cold we had to get our own blanket out of the car, the tv In the room only had 1 channel and despite only being 3 patrons we were in the next room to... Excellent friendly and very helpful owner, breakfast included, help yourself and tea coffee and home made cake all day. Not upmarket in style but what do you need when you get this B&B and what a good price.

Through a lovely old entrance foyer and staircase reminiscent of days gone by, The Grand guesthouse is well situated in the middle of Broken Hill's CBD, it has a cosy open fire in a lounge room which has been decorated in period colours and furniture but it has a large flat screen tv and CD player for its guests to... I booked two nights at the Grand Guesthouse and would recommend this guesthouse. It's in a good central location with various restaurants, ATMs and shops close by. I had a single room with an ensuite and it was clean and tidy and quite homely, especially appreciated after staying at a backpacker hostel at my previous destination! People have already mentioned... More

I stayed in Broken Hill for 3 nights in August and the Grand Guesthouse was an excellent find right in the centre of town. The daily fresh cake lured me in and was indeed excellent. The service (Mandy I believe) was top notch and the rooms clean and comfortable. Many thanks and hope to see you again.

I don't generally stay at B&Bs, but this one was recommended to us, and rightly so. Mandy was very welcoming and helpful. The location is very convenient and surprisingly quiet as you are downtown in the centre of Broken Hill's city area. Off street parking is available, when you find the lane way behind Argent St. The new Visitors' Centre... More
