We just spent the weekend at Barcoos and we all had a fantastic time. We were so surprised at all the activities on offer. Feeding the cattle in the paddock from the back of the ute, hand feeding the chickens and sheep, pony riding and tractor driving. Playing with the dogs and in the playground. The accommodation was clean, warm... More

Spur of the moment get away and what a great experience it was. A real working farm where Elaine and Ken shared many aspects of farming life in a warm, engaging, hands-on way . The eight year old loved the chance to look after chickens, collect the morning eggs, ride the beautiful horses - big and small, and feed the... More

Thank you for writing this lovely review, very much appreciated and we had lots of fun sharing our farm and animals with you. It's a special privilege to share with overseas guests that have never experienced an Australian farm before. More

Stayed at this nice and cosy barn for 3 days and 2 nights. Barn owner, Elaine and Ken are very friendly and accommodating. We reached the barn at about 8pm and Elaine was there to welcome us, felt apologetic as it might be her bedtime. There's a number of activities that I enjoyed with my wife e.g. horse riding (my... Just returned from a weekend on the farm and wish we could have stayed longer, unfortunately work commitments didnt permit this. We stayed in the Hill View Unit which easily catered for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. Our 5 year old son had the time of his life, collecting eggs and feeding the chickens, sheep, horses and... More

I was looking for something a bit different to do in the July school holidays with the our kids so after coming home from work one night in June I poured myself a nice glass of wine and sat down to Google "Farm Stay Holidays"! (not sure why, just popped into my head,so there you go....) Anyway, it took less... More

We stayed at Barcoos Barn Farmstay in Wardell Farmhouse a week ago. Our children aged 5, 10 and 12 all had a fabulous time - there was something for everyone! The tractor rides, feeding the animals, grooming the horses and then getting to ride them through the lovely countryside was fantastic. The highlight was the big bonfire night with the... More

Fantastic experience, we went with our pop top van and were pleasantly surprised with our (ensuite - not officially) but only campers there on our 3 night stay. Just an amazing feel good place and Elaine and Ken were wonderful hosts with a true passion and love of all their animals. We have 2 children aged 14 and 11, oldest... More

We stayed 2 nights, Elaine and Ken were lovely hosts ( Elaine made us fresh wholesome bread in the morning and the kids had rides in Ken's tractor). It's fun and educational for the kids - pony/horse riding, chicken feeding , etc). We got to BBQ our own dinner too! Rooms were spacious and cosy.

Had a great time at Barcoos Barn Farmstay. The kids thoroughly enjoyed all the interactive times with the animals, riding the tractor and playing on all the climbing equipment. Ken and Elaine are lovely people and really make you feel welcome. The accommodation is comfortable, rooms are nice and big and clean. Would recommend it to anyone.

Everything you could want here and more. Space, privacy, activities and views. Kids love the place as do adults and animals. Hosts are great and the accom is fantastic with many options. Wardell House is huge and brilliantly restored. Valley View and Hillview are also great. Nothing negative here - not sure why you would stay anywhere else in Bathurst,... More
