After booking a double room I was surprised that it looked nothing like the one on booking.com. I upgraded to the advertised room for an extra 30. The air on took 15 mins to start to heat. The phone was not connected so we had to walk to reception to ask about the aircon. There was no milk in the... More

Stayed 2 nights in July. The motel was off highway and no traffic noise. Luke at desk was friendly and very helpful. He advised that new free wi-fi was recently installed, good connections and very fast! We stayed in a deluxe room, older style but very clean. Air con, electric blanket, and bedding all good though bed it's self was... More

After a faulty air con unit we were upgraded and found the superior room fantastic. Bathrooms are old school but do the job. Great hotel staff and added bonus of continental breakfast included. Warm and comfy for a one night stay.

The motel is 100 metres off the main road so gets no traffic noise. The young man at the desk was friendly and helpful. He advised that the (free) wi-fi was being upgraded and that if we could not connect in the room, we could do so in the function (breakfast) room. When I couldn't connect in our room I... More

Stayed here two nights in June. Room nice and clean, bed excellent and with electric blankets (and two extra blankets, if needed). Effective air-conditioning and its fan was fairly quiet. Were surprised to see complimentary biscuits, two little packets, replenished daily. Nobody seems to have these any more, and it was nice. Windy outside and a metal piece on the... More

Standard ageing motel. While very clean with comfortable beds, it is starting to look tired. Especially the bathroom. Continental breakfast was included, but it was very basic - cereal and toast. At $116, while not pricey, I don't think it was great value for money. Interaction with staff was minimal and no-one was on hand at breakfast. The information brochures... More

The Governor Macquarie was very comfortable & in a good location. It was close to restaurants & shops but off the main road, so was very quiet. Staff were very friendly, efficient & accommodating. Complimentary Wi-Fi was a bonus.

The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was included and while basic was good. Staff were friendly. Normally I don't sleep so well in hotel beds but I did at the GM which shows a good level of comfort.

Service was helpful and obliging. Value was excellent - continental breakfast included. Room (no.31) was clean, comfy, quiet, medium-sized with lounge and table. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate - 3 types of bread for toast, jams, 3 cereals, muesli, fruit, milk, yoghurt, juices, tea, coffee. Close to the CBD. First choice for me if/when I return to Bathurst.

We stayed at the Governor Macquarie Motor Inn during the Bathurst Show weekend. The first night our room was very cold and my husband nearly froze, however, we told the staff this the next morning and they were fantastic. It turns out that we had the setting in the snow flake instead of the sun! They also set the timer... More
