I can't believe Rydges put their name to this tired, clapped out property. The rooms are like stepping back into the early 1990's, with the exception that the TV is thinner! The bathroom is outdated and dirty, with stained tile grout, and on old fashioned shower over the bath, complete with shower curtain! Carpets are worn, and the lift foyers... More

I stayed at the hotel on my way down to Melbourne to catch the Spirit of Tasmania. The hotel staff were friendly and the service was good. My room was comfortable and well appointed. The hotel is located across the road from the Commercial club. This is good as you can either dine at the hotel (which looked inviting) or... More

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst in town on business in June. Typical Rydges style. Customer service was a stand out for me. Hotel was clean and the restaurant downstairs is very convenient as it was freezing outside. Rooms were spacious, clean and serviced daily. Only few things to point out. Bathroom was dated and needs regrouting. The price of... More

The hotel is directly opposite the Commercial Club which is convenient for meals or various functions, etc. The restaurant prepared a lovely breakfast buffet, with a large variety of foods. The room was extremely big, with fantastic views to the mountains. The room was clean and quiet. Shocked to find that someone had been into my room to arrange the... More

The great things about this place are the location and free Wifi. Staff are a little bit patchy tho - sometimes we would get great staff - efficient and friendly. Other staff appeared aloof and a wee bit disinterested to be honest. We ate breakfast each day in the hotel - it was pretty good, not a bad selection of... More

I stayed with my wife and we booked online in the carpark as it was cheaper than the price offered at Reception. The hotel was not busy and it was a Sunday so I don't know why they weren't offering a reduced room rate just to get people through the door. The room was OK but the hotel is looking... More

I travel to Albury by myself quite regularly and always stay at the Rydges. I feel safe and welcome. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast in bed was great with a very large serving of beautifully prepared bacon & eggs.
