We stayed for 2 nights a week ago. The service was very average, the room was not ready at 2pm and we couldn't get in until 3pm. We were doing the Hume Challenge Cycle ride and needed an early breakfast. It took us 3 goes to get an answer about what time breakfast started on a Saturday. No-one seemed to... More

We stopped overnight in Albury, unexpectedly, and researched Trip Advisor for advise on accommodation. We wanted a hotel within walking distance of the Main Street's bars and restaurants (as we had driven most of the day). Noticing the Atura, and having read the latest Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to check out the reception and inspect a room before making... More

The hotel is located in a really convenient location in town. Once your walk into the hotel you immediately notice that they have tried to be trendy, trying to get a Melbourne type feel but has turned out to be very tacky. But it doesn't stop there, the rooms are very tacky too it appears that your are smothered in tackiness.... More

This hotel had been a regular journey break from the Gold Coast - Ballarat when it was Rydges. It has since been undergoing renovations, the entry foyer is now updated and much brighter. The deluxe king room was updated to plywood trendy chic (not to our taste), the ensuite was a vast improvement over the previous standard. The restaurant has... More

My staff and I just returned from a conference in Albury this week. We have stayed at this hotel annually for the last 7 years. Previously called The Chifley, then Rydges, now Atura, it's recent renovations do NOT have a classy business-orientated focus, anymore. One of my staff described it as "a 1980s European Backpacker Youth Hostel style"! - A... More

Driving from Melb, I needed a place to stop and get rid of the fatigue that suddenly hits you on the road after a long day. I asked google to find me a motel in Albury and a few choices came up. Late at night there was not much to chose from that took bookings this late but the staff... More

Good service but refurbished rooms look like 1970's cheap colours and furniture...food was good. Looks and feels like old hotel done up to look better. Furnture other than bed not really comfortable or strong

Have stayed here before renovations when it was Rydges and totally enjoyed it but can't say that this time. The renovations make the room look like a budget hotel and the bathroom although very nice is impractical (door opens into shower among other problems) The room is advertised as a king room but in fact is the twin beds joined... Nice and clean, with unique modern styling with friendly staff. Really enjoined my stay, and free internet a bonus. Comfortable bed, and pod coffee machine was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Was until recently Rydes Albury and now refurbished Atura Albury. Lots read about the old place being in need of an upgrade. This hotel is central in Albury, decent service and complimentary wi-fi is a nice touch. The hotel is clean and sleep quality is decent also. The interior design of the room was modern but also on the budget... More
