On an overnight trip to Aarhus, we stayed in the 4 bed dorm room and quite enjoyed our time at the Danhostel. The room was clean and comfortable - liked the extra touch of having table, chairs, cupboard as many budget hostel rooms only have the beds. We also used the kitchen and dining room facilities, both of which were... More

It happens, in the life to make mistakes, and this was one ... when I booked before reading properly the hotel ( hoStel ) informations . I got here also due to a mistake in the description of the web page " booking " , ... it was mentioned to be at 8 km from the airport, ... it's not,... More

We stayed in a family room at the Danhostel for a couple of nights in September. To be honest, we weren't hugely impressed. The location is someway out of town, albeit in a pleasant location on the edge of the park. The beach is a short walk away (ignore the private swimming club - head north on a bike and... More

The hostel has with its unique location won my heart. At the beginning of Riis Park, in the forest lies the buildings that form the hostel. But typical of many low budget places spared the heat, and here in September, it was a bit too cold for me. But I survived without major discomfort. All things considered, is not this... More

After a long drive up from Germany, we wanted a stop over in Denmark before catching the ferry to the Faroe Islands. My first impression was pleasant surprise, the hostel rooms are set in a lovely location surrounded by woods and set in a secluded enclave with a big garden. The reception and breakfast room are set Ina building with... More

Our family stayed in this hostel for 2 nights. It was the 2nd time we stayed in hostel on trip outside our hometown. The first hostel we stayed was in Germany which was well equipped and of reasonable price. Probably due to the high season, hotels in Aarhus were either exceptionally expensive or sold out. We finally picked this hostel... More

My friend and I stayed in Danhostel Aarhus for 2 nights in March 2014. Whilst we found the hostel to be extremely clean and located in a nice woodland there were a number of issues and instances that left us dissatisfied with our experience overall: 1. The Wifi signal in our bedroom (nr. 23) was non-existent - we could only... More

It's a fantastic location in the woods, walkable to Aarhus centre or get the bus. Only a few hundred meters to the beach (nude bathing available but optional!) - watch for jellyfish if you're swimming further out. The rooms are basic and we had some noise from neighbouring rooms/people outside. However, 4 bed (2 bunks) room economical for a family.... More

I stayed in this hostel with my teenagers and one of their friends. The hostel is in a beautiful location and the grounds are very pretty. The staff was very friendly. The room was fairly clean, but the beds were uncomfortable and the room had a very peculiar smell. Also, the hostel is very noisy. The doors to the rooms... More
