Dawn was very welcoming to this very well appointed lodge/bed and breakfast place. Great room with fabulous views (got a great sunrise sky one morning) and lovely grounds next to a golf course. We walked across it to the edge of Lake Te Anau on our last morning. Great breakfasts with a good choice. For us, the only minor gripe... More

We received a call at the hotel prior to this one from the owners of Dock Bay Lodge telling us that they had a sudden death in their family and that Sonia would be hosting us during our visit. I was so impressed that even in this time of great personal anguish that they made the time to hunt us... More

An amazing place, where the beautiful garden leads onto the Golf Course and then the lake beyond. Dawn certainly goes the extra mile to give her guests a wonderful experience. The rooms are huge, we were on the ground floor, and everything is cleaned and polished to within an inch of it's life. The bathroom is extremely well appointed and... More

Came here for a first visit to NZ and loved this lodge! Immaculately clean, huge room, comfy bed and furnishings, and amazing views. Dawn was so helpful with planning activities and the breakfast was amazing--we got to order from a small menu and the food was beautifully prepared. Cute doggie but if allergies are an issue this may not be... More

Waking up to the beautiful mountain view across the lake is just stunning, a great reason to stay in bed longer and take it all in. Breakfast is outstanding. The house and property in general is gorgeous. Definitely enjoyed our time here. We stayed in the honeymoon suite.

Superbly located jut outside Te Anau, overlooking the lake and the 11th hole of the golf course. A wonderful, very large suite with ensuite. No dinner provided, but a true gourmet breakfast with a wide menu selection ( fantastic omelette). Dawn is a wonderful host !

Lovely suite, very spacious, clean well presented rooms with everything you need. We enjoyed our beautifully cooked breakfast. Very friendly and professional service. Will go back to stay again. We really enjoyed the spa after a long day hiking. The Lodge was very relaxing and loved sitting by the open fire with a glass of wine. Gorgeous!

We had a wonderful time staying at Dock Bay near the beginning of our 6 week tour of New Zealand. When Dawn opened the door of the Lodge I couldn't believe how beautiful the house was and the view was absolutely the best we have had from any hotel. The rooms are large, modern and very comfortable, with well stocked... More

Sue and I stayed two nights at the lodge. A great experience. We had a large two room suite with two balconies. The refrigerator was stocked with beer, soft drinks and water. What a nice touch. The breakfasts were cooked to order. We even walked out the back and onto the golf course one afternoon and played a round with... More

A perfect B&B. Purpose built with 5 wonderful suites all with sitting rooms and balconies. Not too big to loose the atmosphere of a B&B but can provide 5* facilities such as gym, sauna and spa. All rooms with wonderful panorama. Beautifully kept grounds. Dawn makes you most welcome and will ensure all your little needs met. Breakfast equal to... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, it is really appreciated. It was a shame you were only here for one night as it didn't give you enough time to relax and enjoy Fiordland, but don't forget Sydney is not that far away. Take Care. More
