We stayed in the Green Cottage for 2 nights with a beautiful view of Lake Te Anu and the farm. Jane and Ross were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our morning conversations over breakfast. It's the perfect location for touring Doubtful and Milford Sounds. The cottage was warm and comfortable and we hated to leave. Make sure you meet the... more

We stayed at The Croft in the Blue Cottage for 2 nights, so we could visit Doubtful Sound. It was a real hidden gem with amazing views of the lake and the cottage was clean, cozy and very sweet. Jane our hostess was lovely and made our stay very comfortable. I know my husband would have preferred a hot breakfast... more

We spend two nights in the Blue Cottage at The Croft B&B and everything from the room to the views to the hospitality exceeded our expectations. The cottage was modern and clean. There is a small kitchenette and even a small sitting area with TV and DVD player. And pictures don't do any justice to the view from the front... more

The Croft is a slice of heaven and Jane and Ross are perfect hosts. They couldn't be there to greet our arrival because they were seeing their daughter off on her honeymoon (congratulations!). But they left us the key to our cottage (the blue) and a sweet note of welcome. The cottage was just about perfect: a window seat to... more

Of all of our stops throughout the south island, this was by far our favorite. Let me first mention how sweet and helpful Jane was. We really enjoyed breakfast with her, which allowed us the opportunity to learn a lot about New Zealand. They have a large property, set away from the made road, so it almost felt like we... more

We saw The Croft's website and all the good reviews on tripadvisor and soon found ourselves emailing Jane for a possible 2 night stay. We are so glad we had the privilege of staying at this breathtaking place. Jane was outside when we arrived and welcomed us in her trademark friendly manner. We felt like we had returned to visit... more

We had a couple of nights here, to see Milford Sound - in the rain, unfortunately for the views, but fortunately for the waterfalls. The Croft is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Jane and Ross are wonderful, but not intrusive hosts. Jane provides a lovely breakfast and is incredibly helpful and friendly. Ross (we only met him briefly) was very... more

We stayed in the Green cabin: thoughtfully laid out, well-built (by the owner, a builder), spotlessly clean. We received a genuinely warm welcome, with plenty of info provided about what was available in town. Breakfast is continental and is served in main house. Too bad there aren't more cabins; if you don't book early you'll be out of luck. more

This B&B is a bit different in that you get your own self-contained unit - a welcome change to a room in a house! The units have a bedroom, a lounge area with TV, a kitchen area and a bathroom. We found all this useful as The Croft is about a 30 min walk from the centre of Te Anau... more

This is a fantastic little spot just outside the town in a peaceful and beautiful setting with great views over pasture land to Lake Te Anau and the mountains beyond. We stayed in the blue cottage from where we were able to watch the sun rise or set. Each morning we wandered over to have a delicious breakfast in the... more
