Thank you so much to Adam and the team! Had a fantastic night, really comfortable rooms and definitely the most comfortable bed we slept in on our honeymoon! The lodge is beautifully restored - and thanks Adam for showing us around the property and Te Anau :) Would highly recommend Te Anau Lodge to anyone!

this 9 room lodge, a converted convent, is set on 10 acres of landscaped grounds, including a life sized chess set in the back. The woodwork and most of the fixtures are original, although it has been nicely updated. The rooms are small, so it is better to pay a little more and get a little bigger room. The breakfast... Hello, It was lovely to have you stay with us, thank you kindly for your review. We really enjoy being able to include our extras at no extra charge. The lounge is a lovely place to feel truly treated, it`s one place where afternoon tea will never run out :-) You`re right about all rooms being different sizes. As this... More

We spent two nights at the lodge while visiting the Te Anau area. It is a beautiful building, formerly a convent. Our room was The Belfry, spacious with a very nice view. George and Adam are amazing hosts, making you feel right at home from the minute you arrive. They help you with restaurant suggestions, routes, things to see and... More

Hello, It was truly lovely to meet you all in person after having "met" you a year earlier as you made your booking. We really enjoy being able to help with booking activities and tours prior to your arrival. This is partly because of our love for our region and wanting to share as much as possible with you, and... This was our second visit to the Te Anau Lodge. We time our room was The Belfry. It had a comfy king size bed, beautiful view of the mountains and lawn, and updated bathroom. Smaller than our room last time but plenty big for two. The proprietor, George, was friendly and helpful. We arrived too late for "tea" (wine and... More

We liked the building, woorden floors, an old fashioned library/sitting room. But our room -next to the entrance- was very small. We could just walk around the bed. No chair, no other furniture at all. No room for our luggage. The bathroom was tiny as well. The light near the entrance was on all night. It was very bright and... More

We stayed 2 nights at this ex-convent hotel, which is really interesting with plenty of history as it was moved to Te Anau some years ago, with photos showing how it was done. The lovely panelled lounge has a great view, and afternoon tea is provided, together with pre-dinner wine and beer. Breakfast is made to order, with irrestible freshly... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and would have loved to stay a bit longer. The house is beautiful and has a fantastic feel to it. The lounge/library is a great place to hang out and relax - and you won't go hungry as there's always cake or muffins available. Breakfast is very yummy. George is an excellent host, extremely... Stayed at the Te Anau Lodge for one night prior to a hiking trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a converted (and relocated) convent. The place is beautiful -- large rooms and beautiful old woodwork. The owner/operator, George, is wonderful. He is very helpful -- drove us into town a couple of times (instead of a 15 minute walk).... More

Te Anau Lodge made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home. George (the manager) and his staff are helpful and friendly. We had use of the laundry facilities, internet, afternoon tea, wine and beer for cocktail hour, and breakfast cooked to order. If I had not already paid for the hotels for the remaining 5 days of this trip I... More
