The Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels has garnered appreciation for its pristine cleanliness, with travelers frequently commending the spotless state of its kitchens and bathrooms. Many visitors have lauded the friendly staff for their exceptional service, contributing to the site's reputation for great value for money. However, reviews are mixed regarding the rooms; while some guests find comfort and good design, others point out the need for modernization and better soundproofing. The atmosphere also receives mixed feedback, with some describing charming elements and others noting areas that lack appeal. Amenities generally receive positive remarks, though the limited Wi-Fi and absence of in-room fridges are areas noted for improvement.

We took Tracknet bus to Te Anau, and this was one of the stops, which makes it convenient to check-in and even for check-out when we head back to Queenstown after our trip.

There's different types of rooms to cater to different budget and needs, and we chose the standard studio for our overnight stay in order to have an early start the next day at Kepler Track.

The accommodation is 5 minutes walk to the Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre, convenient for check in for the Great Walk.

The standard studio room is spacious, clean and complete with simple comforts, such as a kitchenette and private bathroom (which may not be the case for other units available in this park). We've also ordered breakfast in order to fuel up in the morning before starting the walk.

We stayed for two nights during a road trip around the South Island. Check in was fast and friendly. We had a two bedroom park view cabin which was super clean, comfortable and included everything you needed to cook in our room. The cabin was also much better value than many of the others we stayed in in during our trip.

We stayed over new years eve 2020/2021 with our family in a 2 Bedroom - Family Bathroom Cabin. This was an excellent option for our family. A clean and modern bathroom sat between both rooms (2xsingle beds 1xqueenbed) This also had tea and coffee and small fridge in each space.. We asked and they gave us all pots / pans / cups etc to use in the shared kitchen.

A great price, friendly staff, not too noisy and you could see the fireworks across the lake at midnight. Lovely little deck with chairs too. Couldnt fault the price location or friendliness. A perfect spot for starting the routburn and doing the Milford sound cruise (a must!)

great communication too. They emailed confirmation and reminders brilliantly.

It wasn't clean at all. The camping ground gave the promise that it should be clean all the time and when it is not clean the guests should say it to the reception. My boyfriend informed the reception that the bathroom was flooded with pee. The employee sayed that is no problem. They didn't cleaned it. The Wifi doesn't worked at all. At the night it was very loud, because some people heard music until 3 am.
I recommend the place to people who like to pay much for a camping ground and who like to have disgusting bathrooms, no wifi (but pay for it), music in the night, expensive washing machines including long waiting times.

We are sorry that you encountered these problems during your stay. If public areas require attention out of usual cleaning times, staff are dispatched a soon as possible to deal with this. There is always some one onsite to deal with noisy or unruly guests Washing machines and dryers are available in four different laundries around the Park at a reasonable cost. There are also hand washing facilities and clotheslines should you not wish to use the machines. Thanks for your feedback

This place offers a huge range of accommodation types from campsites through cabins to motel type units on the lake front. We stayed in the latter with ours being on the upper level, which gave us a beaut view of the lake. Spotlessly clean and VERY spacious with everything new or nearly new - we had plenty of space to spread out over our two very wet days. Desk space with two seats was most impressive. Good quality bed if a little on the firm side for me. Management were most amenable and helpful in extending our booking due to Milford Rd closure. The only thing I would say was it was fairly pricey at $315 per night but I think this is a Te Anau thing... It was nice that it was a bit out of town too, as town can be quite noisy.

Our family of 4 stayed in the Lakeview Motel for 4 nights and it was extremely comfortable, great beds, kitted out with everything we needed very clean and amazing shower. WE would happily stay here again. Our unit looked out onto the beautiful lake and it was extremely peaceful. The room cleaner was also very nice and came and changed out our towels each day.

Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park is an excellent camping ground. It is very large, but was pretty quiet in the evening. The park accommodates a lot of overnight stayers in camper vans (no doubt heading into/from Milford Sound), so empties out very quickly in the morning. Our powered site offered us a lovely view of the lake. The showering and cooking facilities are probably the best I have ever come across in a camping ground, with gas powered showers. There seemed to be plenty of facilities as we never had to queue for showers, toilets or the laundry. Would highly recommend staying here.

Wow what a great holiday park. I requested a lake view if possible, and probably got one of the best 6 sites in the camp. Facilities were great(although a bit too warm in the shower block-heating seemed to be on high!). Brilliant shower pressure(could do with another couple of hooks to hang clothing on). Perhaps don’t have cleaning crews, cleaning all facilities at the same time- we couldn’t find toilets to use for about 30 mins cos all facilities were closed!

We were three adults staying in a 2 bedroom unit that was beyond expectations. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is a TV in the master bedroom as well the lounge. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the unit was serviced daily. Amazing views from the Master bedroom and lounge. It is a short lakeside walk to the centre of Te Anau. Definitely value for money and our first choice of accommodation in Te Anau.
