We have stayed in many places in New Zealand but The Fiordland Lodge is the best by far and there can't be many (if any ) that could beat the views. The stay was arranged as a surprise by my Daughter,Son in Law and Grand Daughter as a complete surprise and what a surprise it was! We were greeted on arrival... More

We stayed here with our 2 friends and had a wonderful time. The manager met us at the door and checked us in. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us and our dietary requirements. The food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this property.

We were greeted at the lodge on a beautiful Te Anau day by Andy. He was also there two years ago when we last visited and is a wonderful asset to the lodge. Andy very quickly made arrangements for us to go to the glow worm caves. We stayed in the Executive Suite which was beautiful. One of the girls... More

Stunning location, impressive structure and lots of natural materials give this place a uniquely 'grand' atmosphere whilst at the same time being totally un-glitzy and unpretentious. Comfort oozes everywhere and the food is delicious. Not cheap but definitely worth the investment !

We spent two nights in the Lodge whilst on NZ’s South Island on a week long holiday. The drive down from Christchurch was very scenic and we could not have hoped to arrive at a better location after such a long drive. The lodge is set in the most scenic of locations, set back from the road to Milford Sound,... More

I have been lucky enough to stay here twice - once on my own and then a few years later complete with wife and children. Very friendly staff, beautiful setting and excellent food. Whilst it is a "grown up" hotel where the antics of small children aren't necessarily always welcome we came to our meals earlier to avoid disruption for... More

Such a beautiful lodge, the staff are so amazing and helping with all things. The food was spectacular and the rooms stunning not to mention; the views are some of the most uninterrupted sights from all areas of the lodge

The Fiordland Lodge was by far one of the best places that we stayed while traveling New Zealand for 30 days. The views of the lake, mountains, sunsets and rainbows from the great room, dining room and our room on the second level were breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable with everything that you need. The meals and service were... More

Our stay at Fiordland Lodge was truly magnificent. We were treated like royalty by the manager, Andy, and his two assistants, Lou and Jo, yet at the same time they made us feel like family. They struck just the right chord. Our meals were prepared by a gourmet chef and were the best of our entire two-week New Zealand trip.... More
