We thought we'd died and gone to heaven. This is an amazing place so beautifully designed and you couldn't wish for a more stunning location. There was so much attention to detail and so much that was complimentary, a load of laundry, a pre dinner drink and canapé each evening, the room's fridge contents and afternoon tea. We couldn't get... More

Stayed here in 2012 and again in 2016 - this is the only 'repeat' accommodation on our 2016 - it is unmissable in my opinion. As other reviewers say, this is a lodge that lives up to its name, the main lounge is massive, the fireplaces are huge as are the lake and mountain views. The bedrooms are great (somehow... More

We booked the Scenic Fjordland package and stayed for 3 nights. We were warmly welcomed by Andy and Lou on arrival and the staff were very attentive and friendly throughout our stay and we were made to feel very much at home. The package meant that we were out enjoying Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound on our two full days... More

Louise and Andy were warm and welcoming hosts at this superb timber lodge overlooking Lake Te Anea. Our lodge room was large and well equipped with good charging and wifi, an included mini bar and large panoramic windows. The weather was extremely kind to us so we had wonderful sunsets and the ability to have our evening canapés outside. The... More

Fjordland lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. We arrived after a long and tiring flight and received an incredibly warm welcome and an offer of an upgrade from our booked log-cabin to a lodge room and a lovely cold glass of sparkling wine. The food was absolutely fantastic - canapes followed by a delicious... More

We had lovely pine lodge rooms with beautiful views. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic and the waitstaff was friendly. The rooms are not air conditioned and it was hot in the afternoon, so we had to keep window shades closed, but they do have fans, which helps. We went fly fishing with Lawton and... More

We were instantly struck by the view as we walked through the front entrance, as well as the enormous fireplace and lovely welcome. The rooms are comfortable and we were able to walk right out our door onto the lovely grounds over looking the lake. The common areas were warm and welcoming, lots of board games played in front of... More

Fiordland Lodge was a pearl we've reserved for the final leg of our 2.5-week long tour of NZ, back in September 2015; it was after a scenic 4-hr drive from Wanaka, on a beautiful, sunny, late-winter day, that we have reached the Lodge, and I've wasted no time in taking hold of my camera, running up to the second floor...
