Such a gem! Clean, warm, modern with all amenities and many unexpected! Surprised and delighted to find a great bbq on back terrace. Spa was in excellent condition. The owner Nigel was friendly and helpful and very understanding of our delay due to weather and road conditions. Plenty of heating for a cold winter.

After traveling for a week, it was nice to finally have a place with a kitchen. A two burner stove and we had 'our own food'. Location was excellent as well, a short walk to the park headquarters and less than 15 minute walk to town and all the tours. A little bit dated but still very worthwhile.

This was my favourite motel of all our golden chain motels in New Zealand over 3 weeks. We stayed 2 nights. The room was lovely, newly decorated with a decent kitchen with a hob. The bathroom was really nice with a spa bath/ with jets and heated tiles! The owners were nice. This motel was one of very few that... More

It was our first time in a motel and we were quite happy with what was offered. The room was big enough, had a kitchenette and a separate bathroom. We had everything we needed and there was more than enough space for our luggage. The room looked good, but the bathroom had seen better days and felt quite damp (even... More

We were give an upgrade to a 2 bedroom unit and could not believe the size of the apartment and how well furnished when we walked in. large lounge area with large flatscreen tv and nice lounge and another flatscreen tv in the main bedroom. Nice little extras like coffee plunger and hot chocolate and nice furnishings throughout all at... More

Staying in rental accommodation can often be cold in the lower south but not so here. We had warm (heat pump, underfloor bathroom heat, heated towel rail an extra heaters in bedrooms) rooms and really clean and well appointed. The lady at reception was really friendly.

Stayed for 2 nights in the studio room. Check in was easy and was given a small bottle of fresh milk. The room was small but adequate. It has a small kitchen with microwave and cutlery, a small table and chairs, TV with 50channels with is a bonus for us, really good long bathroom bench with good toiletries. Heater towel... More

Very convenient location, especially for milford sound. Good layout, parking good, although a little tight. Free wifi was awesome. We used the laundry which was great. Staff were really friendly too :)

Reception was friendly, but the room had an odd smell (not terribly unpleasant, just odd). The beds were comfortable but one of the bed covers had obviously not been washed well as it smelled like a dirtier guest had stayed there prior. :o There didn't seem to be many other options in Te Anau since it's so small, though, so... Hi, Thank you for your comments. I have reminded our great staff about any issues with smells of bedding. We do wash the bedspreads very regularly and are disappointed that it was not fresh smelling on your arrival. Our units are aired out every day once cleaned and some smells do linger around longer. We have environmentally friendly ways of... More

A place to stop if staying for a night or two. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Externally our BBQ had seen better days. Location is a couple of minutes drive from the town centre. Reception was lukewarm but professional. We visited the Glow Worm Caves and can recommend this attraction.
