A spacious room upstairs (no lift), it provided basic and comfortable amenities. Upon arrival, the desk staff were very nice and welcoming. Access to the upper floor was by a narrow stairway. Not bad for me with a small rolling bag, but be careful with large luggage. My room overlooked the lawn in the back. With my room being stuffy,... More

What a great location! A very small town but when you walk out the door and see the lake...ahhhhh! Also a lovely walk after dinner was the perfect way to end a long travel day. Our rooms were quite ready when we arrived so the management treated us to a drink at the bar - fantastic! The rooms were quaint... More

My husband & I stayed for 1 night as a jump off point for our Milford Sound cruise at 9am the following day. When we arrived, we couldnt find a parking spot, so we had to park all the way at the other side of the hotel, which meant we had to carry all our luggages & stuff to our... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights while we were touring the Te Anau lake area. It was the least attractive and most unpleasant of all the accommodation choices we made over 2 weeks. I knew it was basic beforehand but was heartened by some Trip Advisor reviews which had said that a staff member had been very... More

This hotel really is very tired and needs a makeover. The rooms are spacious but dated, nevertheless all your basic needs are met. There is no free wi fi in the rooms, only in reception (but only 30 mins). The hotel is not cheap and the wi fi situation is a joke. Talk about penny pinching. The staff seem a... More

This hotel is used by tour groups and some facilities are geared for them, which may interfere with individual travellers. The rooms are spacious, but there are no lifts. There is free wi-fi, but only for 30 minutes per day in the lobby (ridiculous when much less expensive motels give 24 hour free wi-fi). We were on a bed and... More

We stayed here for one night (thank goodness). The town is lovely but the hotel is old-fashioned and the service levels are poor. Whilst the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the whole place reminded me of the early 70s. The hotel needs modernisation both of facilities and service levels. I won't be back!

The hotel rooms are a decent size and comfortable. The rooms are at ground and first floor levels. There are no lifts in the hotel. Bookings for trips to Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound can be arranged from the hotel reception. Wifi is available free of charge, at 30 minutes per day, at the hotel lobby.

Found receptionist (who was the duty MANAGER) rude and unhelpful, Unfortunately had already booked and paid online. Seemed that her priority was coach bookings. Room was average and not worth the cost. Separate to main block and facilities, None of the extras offered in the on line deal eventuated but as we were on a deadline no time to follow... More
