Clean and comfortable but with a upstairs rooms the lack of a lift may be a problem for some elderly people. Of the 12 different hotels/motels we have stayed at during our two week holiday touring NZ this hotel and one other have the untrusting/greedy policy of charging the room rate at the time of booking ..... seven months before... It is a good hotel, at a good location, Te Anau beautiful Lake Front, only 1 km away from Te Anau Town Centre. The facilities are standard as usual as other similar hotel’s facilities, Flat TV, Mini Fridge with complimentary tea and coffee, wardrobe with Hair Dryer, and clean bathroom with toiletries, shower and bathtub. Our room was clean and... More

An affordable and comfortable hotel. It was located at the southern end of the lake and about a 15 minute walk to town centre. Our room had a lake view and the room was serviced daily. Would definitely stay again.

Around January Te Anau is busy and expensive for what you get. This place was decent value. It is a hotel with very few facilities other than the rooms. And the decor means it could very easily be turned into a hospital or rest home with very few adjustments required. But the rooms are fine and comfortable and fairly spacious.... More

Dear jwjg Thank you for posting your feedback. I appreciate your thoughts regarding the decor of the restaurant. We are exploring several new colour schemes and decor options which will hopefully be completed in the first half of this year. Kind regards Nick L Hotel Manager More

We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the lake. Our room was good value for money, clean with good facilities. We didn't have clear reception on the TV but were here for the outdoors, so didn't really bother us. An a la carte meal at their restaurant Bluestone was excellent. Try the chilli prawns - yum! Couldn't fault the... More

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Internet was not great but accessible. Location was a 5/10 minute was from downtown but the walk itself along Lake Te Anau was beautiful. Overall we were happy with our choice.

Although the location is pretty convenient but the place is not very comfortable. The worst thing was the attitude of the guy at the reception who was not at all helpful. The rules around wifi usage was vague and highly disappointing. The rooms are very uncomfortable with no proper cutlery, microwave, air-conditioning and it didn't look clean compared to the... More

Dear ania_extensa Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. I appreciate your thoughts around the lack of cutlery, microwave and air conditioning. Our guests are more than welcome to borrow cutlery from the restaurant or ask one of our professional staff to reheat any food items in the kitchen. Kind regards Nick L Hotel Manager More

We stayed there as a stopover for the milford sound. The location of the hotel is nice and have nice views of lake te anua. The checkin was smooth but was surprised to know that there is no lift in the hotel, if your luggage is heavy do request the staff for luggage drop off. There is no AC in... More

Located a 10 minute walk from the main shops, cafes, etc - rooms are typical motel style and clean Plenty of parking Cheap at $111 per night Only sour point is the wifi with only 30 minutes for free Checkin and out was easy but watch out for the credit card surcharge

A few minutes walk out of the center of Te Anau. Our room was OK but not particularly nice. There was a bedside table only on one side of the bed and wallpaper in the room was marked. There were no bedside lights so we used our flashlights. The only hotel on our trip to provide a daily newspaper which... More
