Our first stay. Lovely to start here. The cabin has everything you need and more. Very nice atmosphere. The view is stunning. The hosts are very nice. Breakfast was delicious with homemade deer sausages. Very nice! Absolutely worth to visit!

We travelled with our two kids aged 7 and 8 and their two grandparents and stayed in both chalets. As soon as we got out of our car we smelled the lavender from outside. Homemade brownies were on the table. Win was very welcoming and the accomodation was beautiful. The showerhead gave us a massag, beds very comfortable and the... More

We only stayed at this working farm for one night but could have stayed a week. The location is wonderful with great views of the mountains and lake and Win was a great host, very friendly and helpful. The separate accommodation was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Like others have said it was nice to relax and to be able... More

Warm homemade bread fragranced the spotless Danish chalet, the brownie on the table next to the flowers appeared to be – even to Belgian standards -‘chockingly’ tasty. In the evening we were invited to a burning red spectacle of the sun setting over the ridge, in the morning to an envigourating encounter with sheep, goats, and deer. The rooster had... More

As soon as we arrived, Win showed her generous nature, with her welcome tour of the apartment, food stashed fridge, home made bread and brownies and her willingness to share her home and gardens. Views to die for, deer, fawn, llama, sheep and chicks. A well deserved first with trip advisor. The apartment is separate from the house, is well... More

We stayed one night at the 2 bedroom apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The whole place was just beautiful. The apartment was very clean and well kept. Everything we needed was provided for. It felt more like a home. The home baked bread and cake were very delicious and added to the homely touch. We toured the farm and... More

Stunning location, fantastic cottage, great hosts - and alpacas! This is a beautiful B&B, in a cottage separated from the main house. High quality fit out, views across the water and mountains that mean you just have to sit on the deck to eat your meals, and livestock just a few metres away (sheep, deer, alpacas, chickens) that make you... I can't tell you how much we loved our farmstay at Dusty Ridges. Win and Henrik are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. When we arrived we were met by Win. You could immediately see how much of a personal touch she has put into making the two bedroom cottage feel warm and "homey". From... More

We stayed in many B&Bs, hotels on our trip around the South Island, but Dusky Ridges was our stand-out favourite. Win and Henrik were excellent hosts, happy to share their love and knowledge for farming and the region. The accommodation was superb, plenty of provisions (loved the venison sausages), scenery stunning and of course, star billing should go to the... More

Our host Win was exceedingly accommodating making the effort to provide a fold out bed for our 4 year old, plus toys for him to play with. The food she prepares is first rate and we were impressed with all the home made goodies. The farm is part of the attraction and again our youngster found feeding the animals a... More
