We stayed in the new chalet. Beautiful lodging, very comfortable bed, amazing scenery, hearty breakfast, and lovely hosts. Win and Henrick really added to the experience. Would strongly recommend staying here, and if we come back we're sure to look them up again!!

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Milford Sound. The 2 bedroom farmhouse is charming and very comfortable. It is certainly a very peaceful and picturesque location. Our kids really enjoyed spending time with the lovely farm animals including feeding Kate the sheep and collecting fresh farm eggs. We all voted our farm stay at Dusky... More

We met the owner 'Win' at the property and she brought us some pellets to hand feed the sheep and deer. The open plan room is perfect. Comfortable bed / Clean bathroom / Deck to catch the afternoon sun. The gardens and grounds are presented immaculately. We were provided with Venison sausages, bacon, fresh bread and eggs. The eggs were... More

My husband and I spent nearly a month touring the South Island of New Zealand on our honeymoon. We stayed at a number of eco lodges (all found in the Green Journeys handbook) and farm stays and Dusky Ridges is hands down our favorite stay in all of the South Island. We were fortunate to lodge in DR's 2-bedroom after... More

We stayed here for three nights on our tour of New Zealand. The farm is a couple of km outside of Te Anau and set in a beautiful location, down its own 1km long driveway with views of the surrounding hills and mountains. It’s a very peaceful location. The accommodation is modern and exceptionally comfortable. We have a very spacious... More

My wife and I made the long trip down from Queenstown to Te Anau just to experience this farmstay for 1 night and boy were we glad we made this decision. Easily one of the best places we've stayed not only in NZ but throughout the world. We were shocked when we arrived because we expected to stay in a... More

What can i say? There is a good reason why Dusky Ridges gets great reviews! We stayed for 3 nights recently as a first stop on our 10 day holiday. From the first moment Win and Henrick make you feel welcome and at home, with a very comfortable and spacious cottage, as well as generous breakfast provisions and home made... More

My wife, our 4 year old son and myself spent 3 nights at Dusky Ridges as we toured Milford Sound, the Te Anau glow worms and neighbouring villages. It was the best stay of our whole South Island trip. Win and Henrik are very hospitable and made us feel at home. Fresh bread and a chocolate brownie greeted our arrival... More

We stayed here on our way to the Sounds with our two small children, aged 2 and 4. The place is nice and bright, the Scandinavian style works really good. The house is well heated and insulated, a treat in NZ we have come to experience ;). The breakfast that is provided is tasty and fresh. We would have loved... More

My husband and I stayed at Dusky Ridges for 2 nights and it was an incredible experience. The farm is perched on the top of a hill with amazing views and rolling greens all around. The guest cottage we were in was large and very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and cosy, the bedroom had a sky-window through which... More
