Wow! What a place this was a pre wedding treat before our secret wedding on North Island. Great little cottage very clean and comfortable, The log burner and wildlife on the doorstep makes it extra special, Ian and Pip couldn't be more helpful what with lifts and water taxis here and there, what truly beautiful people nothing was too much... We had a fantastic stay in Turner cottage on Stewart Island. Our only regret is we could not stay longer! Ian and Pip offer a wonderful, friendly service - picking us up to and from the ferry, a water taxi ride in the early hours out to Ulva island and back again, and providing us with lots of useful tips... We stayed in the B&B room at Pip & Ian's home. They were the best hosts during our month long trip to NZ. Pip has an artist's eye which is evidenced in every corner and garden spot on their property. We felt like we were home except when we basked at the view. They made it possible for us to... More

We stayed at the Bach in February 2015 and loved the location and the quality of the accommodation. The Bach was secluded, quiet, and very spacious. We were close to a wonderful walking trail and also close enough to the town of Oban to get there in a few minutes. The Bach also comes with a car (included in the... More

This is A secluded, tranquil, little, rustic cottage hidden on the HILL AMONG TALL TREES. It has a convenient location, but does NOT have wifi, nor a bay view. - If you like RUSTIC tranquility, bird watching, and nice location; and if don't mind walking up and down the flights of steps, then this place is a great choice. But,... More

The Turner House on Stewart Island turned out to be our favorite accommodation on our month-long trip to New Zealand. It was cute, clean, well sited just a short walk above Oban, nestled in the trees and surrounded by bird life, and well equipped for a vacation stay. Note that is is an uphill walk and a lot of steps... More

Pip and Ian were super helpful and accommodating. They picked us up from the Stewart island flights office, gave us a quick tiki tour and dropped us at the very cute, comfortable cottage. It was spectacular. A kaka joined us for happy hour and we got to see a ton of birds and cool plants from our porch. The cottage... More

We stayed in both Turner Cottage and The Bach and loved both of them. Turner Cottage is tucked away, so although you're close to the amenities of the town, you feel as if you're in the middle of the bush. The Bach has excellent access to Ackers Point to see the nightime spectacle of the blue pengiuns and sooty shearwaters... More

We stayed in The Bach cottage for four nights and regretted having to leave so soon. It's close enough to Oban to comfortably walk back and forth, but the added mobility of the jeep included with the cottage was wonderful, particularly in that it let us explore additional hiking trails around the island. The bach was clean, comfortable, appointed with... More
