We stayed for two nights at Turner Cottage and couldn't have been happier. Ian and Phillippa helped arrange some trips and offered helpful advice that made our stay more enjoyable. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. Absolutely perfect spot for a couple. We left knowing we will plan on going back for another stay.

We stayed here for our wedding night following our gorgeous island wedding. We know the island well and its one of the great spots. Romantic wee crib with everything you need. The car is a bonus! And of course, lovely hosts :-) Perfect location to completely get away from it all, make sure you walk out to the light house... More

We stayed for five nights at the Bach, a wonderful secluded cottage with all modern comfort. The views were breathtaking and the birdlife was very rich. The hosts were very friendly and we appreciated the pickup service at the ferry terminal very much. The introductory tour of Oban was very helpful. The watertaxi service was very handy to visit Ulva.... More

We stayed here for three nights. Ian and Philippa were wonderful hosts and very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is immaculate and cosy. A lovely place to visit and we regretted not staying longer at Turner's cottage. Hopefully we can make a return trip!

We stayed in The Bach which is out of town several kms but we were supplied with a car for our stay. The accommodation was a modern Bach with three levels and superbly appointed. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful with organising anything we needed. Even fresh herbs from their garden. We felt that five days wasn't long enough.... More

Completely private, lost in the bush, yet 5 minutes walk from the village centre. This amazing nugget is probably the best accommodation choice in Oban. Ian and Philippa are great hosts that give you enough attention or leave you alone, as you require. The cottage was spotless, fireplace prepared to start with a single match, all kitchen equipment you might... More

Turner Cottage is buried in the trees above Oban village, with Kaka, Tui, Blackbirds and Silvereye visiting and entertaining us, morning and evening. Situated on a steep walk from the road, the Cottage was not without challenges, but Ian made us welcome, did our washing when the machine broke and organised guide and wildlife photographer Matt Jones to guide us... I stayed in Turner Cottage for 3 nights in March 13 and thought it was fabulous. It is in an excellent location, close to Oban township. It was so relaxing and there are some great walks on Stewart Island. I enjoyed having a wood fire and being able to sit outside on the deck watching the beautiful birds fly around... More
