I was in Queenstown with family visiting my brother. We wanted to booked a nice hotel that ensured a good view of the lake or the Remarkables or both. After reading reviews and speaking to a travel agent, we decided to book Peppers Beacon. The location is good (the town is only a few minutes walk away) and the pictures... more

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights in Feb 2009, we had a 2 bedroom suite. The suite was sheer luxury, absolutely fabulous, the view of the lake and the mountains was out of this world, The staff were really friendly and helpful. Fabulous! more

My partner and his parents stayed for 2 nights. It was part of a two week trip around the south island. We booked based on the high score this hotel received on Trip Advisor. We spent two very uncomfortable nights. My partner and I were placed in a room next to a family with 2 young children. Not a problem... more

After a good experience at Peppers Lake Tekapo, we decided to splash out for a 2-bedroom apartment at Peppers Beacon in Queenstown. This must have one of the best views in Queenstown, and is only five minutes from the centre of town. The living area is stylish, spacious and extraordinarily well equipped – for instance, not just its own dishwasher,... more

We stayed here for 4 nights and found the 2 bed apartment very good. We cooked in the evening and the kitchen was very well set up with all the mod cons. The internet was a rip off and never really worked properly and there was no one there who knew how to fix it! House keeping was a bit... more

We stayed for one night at this well located hotel, directly opposite the lake of beautiful Queenstown. The room was very clean and quite roomy with views across to the lake. Queenstown is a very picturesque town and driving around the surrounding areas was well worth the views. If you like taking photos you are in the right place. Overall... more

We loved the Peppers Beacon in Queenstown while on our honeymoon in New Zealand. We arrived to lovely staff, music playing in our room, and were so impressed by the Lake views from our huge balcony. The hotel was perfectly situated 5 minutes from the center of town. The quick walk is lovely with the lake and mountain views. Our... more

We stayed at Peppers Beacon for 3 days as a family with a set of grandparents, a set of parents, and a three year old. The two bedroom apartment setup was perfect for our family, especially when the helpful staff set up a rollaway bed in one of the bedrooms for the child. It was a tight squeeze with the... more

We stayed at Peppers Beacon for 3 nights, primarily because of the proximity to the town centre, the views and the broadband access. If you are used to the high standard of Peppers Retreats and Resorts throughout NZ & Australia, this accomodation is NOT for you. Like most accommodation in Queenstown, Peppers is overpriced. However, $12NZD per hour for internet... more
