Stayed 3 nights with Lesley and Chris - I chose this b&b partly because it was out of Queenstown and partly for the view. The view was even more stunning than shown on the website and we were lucky to be able to eat breakfast outside one morning. On our arrival, Chris helped withe the luggage whilst Lesley served a... We stayed here for 2 nights in a most comfortable room. All the furnishings were lovely. Our hosts Lesley and Chris were so obliging and made us feel very at home. Their breakfast was lovely. The views from the windows and terrace are just breathtaking. Our only problem was it was a long way to go at night to find... More

Sincere thanks for posting such a glowing review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at our B&B. We do apologise for not giving you better guidance on places to eat. In fact, there are three restaurants within a 5 minute walk of our B&B (one of which has won awards). There are so many excellent restaurants in the town... More

The house and room were fair value for money and the view pretty good too but the highlight for us was the breakfast! Lots of home cooked food on offer with a great range and as much as we could eat. I don't think we could have asked for more attentive hosts - extremely conscientious. The only downside was a... More

This was a great location just outside the mayhem of Queenstown! Our room was cosy and comfy and the breakfasts were excellent. We had two nights here either side of doing the Routeburn Track, and Chris and Lesley kindly let us leave our suitcases here whilst we did the walk which was great. The view from the deck is gorgeous,... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, downtown Queenstown can often become very busy and like you, many of our guests are so relieved to stay a short distance from the "mayhem" where they can enjoy the views in peace. It is no problem at all for us to store luggage for hikers, many of whom... More

This B&B is warm and welcoming from the start. Lesley and Chris are tremendous owners who really seek to make your stay absolutely amazing. The tea and pastries upon our arrival were lovely, as was the incredible view of Lake Wakatipu. Our family of 4 stayed in the apartment and tremendously enjoyed ourselves as well as relaxed towards the end... More

Chris makes good coffee and helps on our heavy luggage. But short talking, cool man. Lesley is trying to introduce travel information, and she makes very good breakfast. These couple won't talk too much to guest, give full space but watch out. We enjoy reading book at living room. Lesley play a classic CD and coffee for me. Queenstown is... More

My husband and I always try to stay at a B&B during our travels to change up the hotel chains. We stayed here three nights and this B&B far exceeded our expectations. The bed was incredibly comfortable and our room had amazing views of Lake Wakatipu. Lesley and Chris were very friendly and accommodating, but also left us to our... More

I booked through Airbnb and the process was simple with a very quick response to my inquiry. Off the main road from the airport to Queenstown, the street was easy to find although the steep driveway had its challenges for our little car. Chris and Lesley welcomed us and thereafter left us to our selves which we appreciated. The whole... More

Many thanks for your lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed staying in our Lakeview Apartment/Suite. Although you booked through a self-catering, self-service option we do try to make all guests as comfortable as possible. So sorry to learn that other guests disturbed you, though. Most of our guests are very considerate of others, but in the quiet of our neighbourhood... More

Larch Hill and its owners Lesley and Chris are one of the most pleasant bed and breakfast combinations we have come across in our extensive travels. We stayed in the southern corner apartment on the lower floor and it was perfect- 90 degree panoramic views over the lake with the mountains as a backdrop, loads of room for a couple,... More
