My daughter and I flew from Grand Junction, Colorado to Queenstown, New Zealand. Thirty-six hours later we arrived at our first accommodation, Larch Hill Homestay Bed and Breakfast at 11:00am! Our hosts, Lesley and Chris very kindly let us check in early to our lovely lake view apartment which had a full kitchen, a separate bedroom with a king bed... More

Let me start with my one quibble, and if you have GPS this shouldn't be a bother. Larch Hill is, well, up Larch Hill from the main road into Queenstown. If you don't have GPS or another real-time location service get good directions. Once you get there, you're in a little bit of paradise. The garden out back is amazing,... More

We stayed for two nights after arriving in NZ. The hosts are tremendous, friendly and funny and who are great cooks. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. The view out onto the lake is stunning too, worth the booking almost for that alone. Do be aware that the B&B is a little outside the main Queenstown area - about halfway between... More

This is a lovely home with a stunning view, friendly hosts, terrific breakfast and snacks. We felt extremely welcome, and the hosts were extremely informative and helpful. It was a little tricky to find, and a bit farther out of town than we'd expected. You do have to drive into town and deal with parking, etc.; but that was the... More

Another amazing annual holiday at Larch Hill B&B in Queenstown, NZ. The morning vistas, coupled with an incredible home made breakfast started each day with a flourish. Then to get to enjoy the mountains and lake and the great hospitality from our hosts make this annual trip one we look forward to every year. The view from our room is... More

As others have noted, there are pros and cons to this b&b. On the whole it's very good but there are a couple of things to mention. The pros are that the view is exceptional, the breakfasts are generous, there is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill and the hosts are lovely people (very softly spoken, full... More

Thank you for your kind comments about our B&B; we are glad you felt welcome here - we try to make all our guests feel at home. It's possible that during your stay here you were unaware that we have, in fact, two street entrances with guest parking off both. We try to have guests park in a place as... More

This B&B was great. The views were amazing, the hosts were extremely friendly, greeting us with tea and cake when we arrived and offered to negotiate our car for us (parking was in a fairly confined area.) breakfast was fabulous.

Larch Hill B&B was a great find. We stayed there for 2 nights in a cosy, comfortable room with our own private bathroom. The hosts/owners, Chris and Lesley were so helpful and friendly. They also cooked delicious breakfast which filled us for a long time. With great views and conveniently located close to Queenstown Town Centre, we highly recommended this... More

Stayed 3 nights with Lesley and Chris - I chose this b&b partly because it was out of Queenstown and partly for the view. The view was even more stunning than shown on the website and we were lucky to be able to eat breakfast outside one morning. On our arrival, Chris helped withe the luggage whilst Lesley served a... We stayed here for 2 nights in a most comfortable room. All the furnishings were lovely. Our hosts Lesley and Chris were so obliging and made us feel very at home. Their breakfast was lovely. The views from the windows and terrace are just breathtaking. Our only problem was it was a long way to go at night to find... More

Sincere thanks for posting such a glowing review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at our B&B. We do apologise for not giving you better guidance on places to eat. In fact, there are three restaurants within a 5 minute walk of our B&B (one of which has won awards). There are so many excellent restaurants in the town... More
