We stayed here in November 2011. We had a two bedroom apartment overlooking the lake. It was beautiful. The massive windows are fabulous as it highlights just how beautiful Queenstown is. The room were clean and had great amenities. The only downside of the room was in the second bedroom there was a side table and a chest of draws,... More

This has to be the most expensive accomodation out of our 2 weeks road trip. We expected more as it's part of the Oaks chain of hotels. We had 2 bedrooms (2 double beds and 1 king bed) and 1 bathroom with kitchen facilities. TV was small and the remote control had to be placed within 50cm to switch channels... More

I had booked this as a Christmas present for my partner and I to give ourselves an upgrade from hosteling over Christmas eve and Christmas day. I was initially concerned it seemed a bit too far out from the town centre and was worried that it was going the the 'Big Mac' of hotels, whereby the reality is nothing like... More

We stayed at Oaks Shores for three nights, and unfortunately this has to be the accommodation that we least enjoyed during our South Island tour. On arrival, the Front Desk Agent went through the room/accommodation details in a rush – not that I expected him to go through in detail, but at the end of the experience, I felt that... More

We stayed 3 nights & paid $188.00 per night. Our room was tiny with no sun - the size of a double bedroom & no larger. We had no room service for 3 days & when we did request fresh towels & tea sachets we were told they were busy cleaning other rooms for new incoming quests. Our request was... More

Hi everyone, we recently stayed in the best apartment in this resort, 3 double rooms and 3 bathrooms with everything you would need. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Fully appointed kitchen and oven. We initially booked for 6 adults but arrived with 7. No problem the staff found an extra fold out bed and we were happy to pay a... More

We have stayed at Oaks Shores on our previous trips to Queenstown. This time I was disappointed with the service and staff. I am not sure if the management has changed or what it is, but service was terrible and staff at times were rude. Towels were not changed even after leaving them on the floor as they instructed. We... More

We arrived at 10 am, nevertheless, we were given an upgrade to a bigger appartment, as the type of appartment we booked was unavailable at this moment. Instead of a two-bedrooms - one bathroom - no view appartment, we were given a two-bedrooms - two bathrooms - great view appartment! The appartment itself was h u g e. The terrace... More

All I want to say is absolutely amazing. However, you will want to know more about the apartments. Make sure you book an apartment that overlooks the lake. Simply stunning. Well set out, and maintained, although there was a lack of storage for clothes. Beds were comfortable, heating excellent. The views immaculate. Car parking galore. Lifts to every level. Internet... I stayed here with a friend for three nights in Novemeber when exploring the fijordland national park. The hotel is situated about a twenty minute walk outside of central Queenstown along a path that follows the side of lake wakatipu. The walk into town was really picturesque but very steep in places so need to be fit to do it!... More
