A really friendly welcome began a trouble free stay. They were really helpful with our trip arrangements and made things very easy for us. The rooms we're clean and warm and its a short walk to and from town. A very easy place to stay.

Owners were lovely and full of welcoming humour. Room very comfortable clean and modern. Fabulous view for great price. A little out of main town but pleasant lake front walk that was safe and enjoyable. Thank you

The location is the best thing about EL: it is a picturesque short stroll along the lake front and through the gardens to Queenstown shops. Likewise, the view from the room to the lake is beautiful but I would wager that every room has a view as the 1970s building is long and slim. The facilities are very tired and... More

Room was a good size. Bed was ok. Shower was terrible. Advertise free wifi, you get 200mb for 2 people for 7 days and then have to pay for any other use. Noisy grand child yelling, was being told to be quiet in same pitch. Parking around the back of motel, but you then have to walk through front entrance... More

Spent 4 comfortable nights here. Good sized room with shower-room and kitchenette. Room was a little tired but was clean and well serviced. We had a room overlooking the lake and could park our car easily within view. The walk into town took 10 to 15 minutes but there is quite a short steep section on the return journey. Staff... More

My stay was for a conference 300m down the road so had little time in the motel. The room was very spacious with view to gondola and peeps to the lake. Comfortable furnishings which I gather are soon to be upgraded. I had a problem with the shuttle not arrving to take me to the airport and Lynley, the owner,... More

Although the staff were friendly & helpful , this place is not up to scratch . As i am unable to manage stairs [ my problem not theirs] we were happy to take a ground floor unit . Which meant e had almost no view . The room was not cleaned to our standards & the bathroom was disgusting .... More

Nice motel, nice and clean, handy town, nice veiw. The negative was the shower which ha no soap dish and the floor was very slippery. When pointed that my wife had a very nasty fall in the shower due to this, there was no concern shown let alone an apology. VERY POOR PR.

A great motel with stunning views of the lake, close to the bus drop points. Only on an uphill, and a gud 15-20 min walk to the lake near Athol street. The room is spacious and completes the basic minimum requirements. Food is available but the motel has to be informed before hand. The staff is helpful and has a... More
