The Spire is in a great location on a pedestrian street in the middle of Queenstown. The hotel is small with just ten rooms. That said, the rooms themselves, are more than ample with both sitting and sleeping areas and a large balcony. We enjoyed coming back at night after a long day out and sinking into the comfortable chairs... More

Thank you for leaving your thoughts following your recent stay - I am so glad your Spire experience was memorable. The little extra guest service touches are an important part of the stay - as much as any of the other activities that guests take part in, the team love going the extra mile to look after our visitors. The... More

The Spire Hotel is not a cheap hotel, but it was well worth the expense. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. In Queenstown, there is so much to do and so many places to eat. The help and advice from the Spire staff really enhanced our time in Queenstown, and allowed us to make the most of our... More

Thank you for your feedback Roger, much appreciated. Queenstown is such a dynamic and vibrant town that location is important - being in the thick of the action is what it's all about! The restaurant and café dining scene is a big part of the Queenstown experience and we're delighted that our two outlets, No5 Church Lane and Eichardt's Bar... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was the perfect spot. Rooms are large and trendy design. Front desk very accommodating. Most of all, the location. Great boutique hotel very short walk to anything you may need. I deduct 'overall' rating because the car park is across the street. Even though the desk does it for you.. It is... More

Thank you for your review - so glad you enjoyed your Spire visit. The design aspect gets a lot of wonderful feedback, a very funky hotel with a lot of touches you'll wish you had at home! Being in the centre of everything is fantastic - a true urban hideaway. Regarding street noise a lot of measures have been put... More

The Spire is a pinnacle of luxury and comfort. It is in the heart of all the action Queenstown has to offer but very quiet at night. My suite was spacious and very comfortable, a truly luxurious room. I surely enjoyed a complimentary bottle of great New Zealand red wine while lounging in the Eames chair and listening to the... Thank you for posting your comments - we are currently experiencing difficulties with the nightclub across the laneway overstepping their license conditions with relation to noise. At the time you called down to reception the night manager was on the phone to noise control and the police to call them to action, and was in the bar in question to... More

Wow. Where to start. The rooms are huge and well appointed. Due to the rain/our laziness/great NZ wine my husband and I spent a fair bit of time lounging in the Eames chair and on the comfy couch, or, when the sun was shining, outside on the balcony (see picture). The walk in robe was great with lots of storage.... More

Many thanks for your lovely review Janey - it was such a pleasure to have you with us earlier this month, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. We've an updated pillow menu on the way for you next time - and no doubt Jake and his team in the bar will have some new creations for... More

We stayed at The Spire recently to celebrate our engagement. From the moment Sarah picked us up at the airport we were absolutely spoilt. Thanks to Alex, the manager, for almost being as excited as we were for our engagement. Our suite was beautiful and spacious, elegantly designed and luxurious. We stayed 3 nights and felt like we were the... More

We stayed at the Spire in the last week of January, and what a wonderful stay it was. We were pretty much blown away in every respect except one, and I struggled with giving the hotel 4 stars vs 5. First, the positives. The Spire is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of everything, restaurants, shops, the lakefront,... More

This is an amazing boutique hotel literally in the heart of downtown Queenstown. I would give it 5 stars based on the staff alone, Sam and Alex went out of their way to make me feel welcome, make sure all my needs were met, organize any and all trips and activities, and were just overall delightful people to talk to.... Stayed here for a romantic stop off and couldn't have picked a better place! Very friendly staff around every corner, making us feel warm and welcome. The room was excellent, clean, modern, well furnished and comfortable, although the amount of light switches did provide 5 minutes entertainment as we tried to turn the lights out. Would certainly recommend this place... More
