Sorry for this late review. My husband and I stayed here last March. We were booked here by relaxing Journey and were quite satisfied with the room. The route here from Wanaka to Queenstown was beautiful with the blue ribbon of the river following along side. Passed deep gorges. The Newmans coach journey took us about 2 hours thru Frankton and... Nice little hotel with parking and very kind staff. We had a room with a great view and a great heater. The walk to the city isn't bad at all and passes over a nice little stream. There is a tourist training school along the way that has some very nice options for breakfast.

Its a well placed clean and functional place to stay with really helpful staff. Its a short 5 min walk from the main part of town. I had a basic 1st floor room that had fantastic views of the mountains. The wifi was good. Tea and coffee in room.

I stayed in room 201 for 6 nights in late June - just in time for the Winter Festival. It had the most amazing views! The staff were friendly and very helpful with local information. The room was well serviced everyday by lovely staff. The lodge is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre (we walked everywhere) with... More

I stayed there recently for 3 nights and it was snowing, there is one small wall heater, not electric blankets, when I rung reception for a blanket they said they had run out....this would happen when is was -5degs outside at 8pm. Shower needing updated and cleaned better, mould was present around the edging. 500mb for 3 days does not... More

Thank you for our review. We appreciate feedback. We must explain that extra blankets are in the rooms and have endless supply of electric blankets and warm blankets and extra heaters when they are asked for, so we are not sure where the misunderstanding occurred. We happily take bags upstairs if this asked for and cleanliest is beyond reproach as... More

We traveled to queenstown with my daughter and her boyfriend and stayed in the apt. It was lovely. Very spacious, modern and with great views of the town, mountain, gondola and the hang gliders enjoying the ride. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a simple meal and the living room was comfortable. Nice to have two bathrooms, too.... More

Our needs for hotels/motels on this trip were quite simple. We were two adults taking part in a cycle race so we needed room for two bikes, preferably a kitchenette to make breakfast early before each stage, laundry facilities would be good for smelly kit and good black out curtains for a decent nights sleep. Wifi and nearby restaurants were... More

The 2 bedroom apartment that we had was large, well equipped, quiet and very comfortable. We did not believe that we could be in the centre of Queenstown in only a couple of minutes, but there is a walkway just below the motel that takes you straight into Camp Street. Bingo! You are in the city. If there was a... More

all the rooms are of a good size, with reasonable facilities for self catering. But with fabulous mountains all round and nearby lake the were no views from either room (we were there with friends) plenty of restaurants near by. and an easy walk to all the locals attractions.

If you want a motel within easy walking distance to Queenstown proper then this is it. It is not flash, a bit tired, but its warm, clean and very close to downtown. Units have a kitchenette so you can save money by cooking those family meals. Close to ice skating rink and the park.
