We stayed 5 nights in Queenstown at the Whistler Apartments. Perfect location, lovely helpful and friendly people who run the Whistler, couldnt fault it Queenstown is a fantastic place with some stunning mountain views. Also for winter sports it's a must.

We spent 6 nights in a one bedroom apartment last week. From arrival, Wayne has been very helpful and friendly, making us feel at home quickly. He is very responsive to our requests. The whole apartment was clean, well equipped and appointed. Perhaps, the lounge sofa and easy chair could do with a bit of a clean. The location is... More

We had a wonderful weeks stay at the Whister apartments, and should we return to Queenstown will stay there again. Wayne and Jan were fantastic and very helpful throughout our stay. The apartments are located a very easy 5 minutes walk from town, which was great. They are well serviced and have everything you need for a comfortable stay! We... More

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for 5 nights. We booked the apartment through booking.com and specially requested that we had queen and single bed configuration. Within a few days, I received an email from the managers to say that they had allocated us a room with the specified bedding configuration. While it was a small request, it is... More

We stayed in a two bedroomed unit at the Whistler for three nights recently. Three minutes flat walk to town, supermarkets in two different directions .... the location in itself is the reason that I wouldn't hesitate to return. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spotless and very well appointed and the views are nice.... More

Good value and well-located for downtown Queenstown. Room was packed with extra heaters and electric blankets so more than warm enough for the Queenstown winter. If I had known that "fish and odorous foods" can't be cooked in the self-catering apartment I would have stayed elsewhere - this information did not seem to be featured on the website.

Wayne T, Manager at Whistler, The Chancellor - Queenstown, responded to this review

Thanks for your review…..Its great you were nice and warm in the apartment…this winter has certainly been a bit chilly at times. Regarding your comment on our apartments “not for fish eaters”….we have no problem with guests actually eating seafood or odorous foods in the apartment….the problem arises when these things are cooked in there. From experience when this has... More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with a friend. It is in a great location - just a short 5 minute walk to town (with no big hill to walk up or down!) and only a couple of minutes from the best supermarket in town. The room had a kitchenette and was very comfortable. Excellent heating and friendly... More

Stayed at The Whistler many times before. Very comfortable well appointed rooms, management very friendly and attentive. Short walk into the CBD. Will stay again for sure. Bedroom is set at back of unit so road noise is not a problem, bathroom has its own washing machine which is handy for those staying a bit longer than a few days.

The apartment had all the amenities. View of the gondola from the balcony was beautiful. It is a bit away from the lakefront. But that makes it much quieter place, which we liked. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights in late March in the two bedroom apartment. The room was meticulously clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to make meals and it's a very short walk to the main street in town. Considering the outrages prices for places to stay in Queenstown (not to mention that there are A... More
