I stayed in this hostel for one night in an 8-bedded dorm and I had a really good stay. When I first got there the reception staff were lovely and helpful. In the dorm, all the bottom bunks were taken and the bunks didn't have stairs down the side or rails along the bed, so it was a little awkward... More

Living in Queenstown for a short period I heard about BlackSheep and ended up staying here for a week at one point and pretty impressed all round, nice social areas, stable wifi, adequate kitchen and generally quiet when you're in your room. The showers downstairs are one of the best hostel showers I've had in terms of pressure and coverage!... More

This is a perfectly good backpacker accommodation in a very popular town. Friendly staff, clean accommodation, and a well appreciated hot tub after a day snowboarding. No complaints, lots of great easy going fun folks to share the kitchen and socialize with. Expect fun and come with a social attitiude for a great time!

Staff were super friendly, cheerful and more than happy to help :) Kitchen has everything you need and there's a great little hot-tub on the decking. Good location, not in the CBD but it's a quick and pleasant stroll in. Nights are quiet, rooms are warm. Clean bathrooms, free Wifi and cosy common room. Happy we stayed here :)

We booked through the i-site in town (who were very helpful!). Got to the backpackers and the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The room we got was good value for money. The next morning we were able to store our bags there after checkout whilst we went into town.

I have to admit that the only reason I decided to stay at this hostel was because the other hostels in town were already booked up for the number of nights I was looking for. I also decided to choose this hostel due to its close proximity to the town centre. So I had an early morning arrival into the... More

After having stayed in a couple of other hostels over the past few weeks in Queenstown Black Sheep was very refreshing. I honestly cannot praise this place enough! Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in a mixed dorm. The staff are so polite and helpful. We were given a warm welcome and everything was explained to us... More

We arrived early and needed to organise ourselves for work our room wasn't ready but we were allowed to use it and the showers which was great. We enjoyed a hot spa which was perfect for a winters day! Clean and tidy good bedding also. Would definitely stay again... More

We were staying at the black sheep for 3 nights and had to leave our car on the road. Due to the themperature it wouldn't start again. So the very friendly brazilian caretaker didn't wait a second and helped us start our car. Also very good Location, right next to the gardens and the queenstown Discgolf course (discs were available... More
