Only stayed for one night but really neat staff, very welcoming and thoughtful. Comfortable bed and room and good shower in clean bathroom. Near to the centre but in relatively quiet part of town. Definitely recommend this backpackers.

Super friendly staff who is always ready to help. I enjoyed the free rental bike service. Many people in the spa after 6pm. Confortable bed with extra blanket if you get cold. Only two minutes walk from city center.

The location of this hostel is 5 minutes walking to town. I stayed one night in a 6 bed dorm. The beds were comfortable but I found the heat to be less than satisfactory. The bathrooms were always in a state of despair. The showers are small and it's hard not to get everything wet so take as little as... More

Stayed here for 2 weeks whilst in Queenstown snowboarding and exploring the South Island. This is a great backpackers to stay in - Reasonably priced rooms. - Comfy beds - Clean and tidy, bathrooms very clean for a backpackers, cleaned several times a day. - Close to the town center, only about 5min walk. - Central heating was great for... The service was great, facility could use some updating. We stayed here on our travels and found the bathrooms to be fairly dirty. We had a double bedroom with was decent, it was clean which was all we really needed.

Located only 5 mins walk to town. We stayed in a pretty spacious double room. Hostel was clean and tidy. A little noisy - but hey, it is a hostel. Betina was absolutely fantastic and really went out of her way to book us on trips and find out info for us. Thanks Black Sheep and Betina, we will be... More

We stayed in our van in their car park for $30 a night for 4 nights. There is a lovely common room with a log burner and lots of DVDs to watch. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms are clean with plenty of hit water. The hostel is close to town but not 'in town' which we actually... More

It's a good backpackers in which there is a bit of a party vibe, especially cause it's not a dry hostel, you can drink there until 10 or so, which I think is a great compromise for people that do want to sleep. The common room is wonderfully heated by a fireplace in the middle of it. And you get... More

I stayed in this hostel for one night in an 8-bedded dorm and I had a really good stay. When I first got there the reception staff were lovely and helpful. In the dorm, all the bottom bunks were taken and the bunks didn't have stairs down the side or rails along the bed, so it was a little awkward... More

Living in Queenstown for a short period I heard about BlackSheep and ended up staying here for a week at one point and pretty impressed all round, nice social areas, stable wifi, adequate kitchen and generally quiet when you're in your room. The showers downstairs are one of the best hostel showers I've had in terms of pressure and coverage!... More
