My husband and I stayed here mid-June for my 30th. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel! We have stayed in Queenstown previously but out of the town (about an hours walk), not this time! Browns is about a 2 minute walk into the centre of town, great for lunch and dinner walks. The hotel itself is immaculate, very well... More

This is a very nice place to stay. Located up the hill from downtown Queenstown it has lovely views over the town and good glimpse of the lake (request 2nd or 3rd floors). It is a short walk downtown although a bit of a steep climb back up, when you are unfit like me, and also in walking distance to... More

"What a beautiful spot with such lovely warm hosts, Jillian and Donald! We traveled for three weeks on the South Island and kept returning to Browns Boutique between outings. Each time we returned it was like 'coming home' to this friendly comfy hotel. As much as the place, which is wonderfully inviting and ideally situated, is the hospitality provided. And... More

My wife and I (travelling from Philadelphia) stayed at Browns for two nights at the end of April. It was unquestionably our favorite hotel during our two week stay in New Zealand. Located above and within a short walk from the hubub of Queenstown, the rooms have beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Ours had a small balcony. The... More

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was quite nice with beautiful views of Queenstown . The location was great- within easy walking distance of town. Breakfast was made to order for each in the morning. When we had to leave for a tour early in the morning a breakfast was very thoughtfully prepared for us the night before.... More

Browns Boutique Hotel is definately a star amongst the hotels we have stayed in New Zealand in April 2014! Nice comfy rooms, excellent service and breakfast as well as 5-10mins walk to the main city centre. Kudos to Gillian and Donald on running such a great hotel! I would definately recommend this hotel for all my friends and family who... More

We arrived at this delightful hotel tired out, after a very long drive. We were very warmly welcomed by Donald and Gillian, who quickly showed us to our room. We had a small balcony, from which we could see a great deal of the town. The choice of tea and coffee was impressive and very welcome. We were lucky enough... More

Donald and Gillian were lovely hosts in this boutique B&B. Location is perfect with the views of town to match! The daily breakfast was an absolute delight with a menu to choose from. Gillian was right there for every question and suggestion - very pro-active to ensure our stay exceeded our expectations.

Donald and Gillian were fantastic hosts and run a great small but friendly hotel, Rooms with great views, very comfortable and close to town. Donald's breakfasts epic and Gillian so helpful. We stayed as a family for 5 days and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. If we return to Queenstown we will stay again.

We stayed at Browns on the recommendation of a friend and found the hotel to be absolutely charming, The staff were warm and friendly and the rooms all had views of the city from the french doors and balconies. Highly recommend this accommodation.
