We stayed for two nights at the Goldridge in January as part of a coach tour of South Island. It is out of town and is a steep walk from the bus stop, but we found the location to be ideal, with beautiful view over the lake. The hotel is not in the city center. It is situated on the hill around 3 KMs from the city center which the guest could see part of the Remarkable behind the lake and the other mountain.
