This hotel is conveniently located to town - restaurants, bars, breakfast, and the station for activities. The staff was friendly. Internet access was easily accessible. The rooms/hotel was clean. We did not eat in the restaurant because there was never anyone there. We were just in the hotel to sleep, but would recommend it. The road could be loud at... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in October 2008 as part of a New Zealand group tour. We were allocated one of the chalets (No 205) right next to Stanley Street, the main road in/out of Queenstown from the east. So, although quite pleasant enough in itself, with a reasonable view of the lake to the south, the traffic noise... more

I stayed here for 4 nights. I was traveling alone but had plenty of space here- I had a 2 story chalet style accomodation, with a queen size bed on the first floor and the upstairs had a single bed with kitchen area. As soon as I walked in, the first floor was freezing and the upstairs was as hot... more

We stayed in an apartment at this hotel. It was excellent. The amenities were very good, the rooms very comfortable and the service great. The best part was that it was much cheaper than listed. This is because we were in Queenstown in August, not the peak season, and went to the hotel directly, rather than booking before-hand. A risk,... more

We stayed here for 7 nights and didnt want to leave! We stayed in the 3.5 star part of the hotel and were very happy. The room was much larger than most other accommodation (queen and single + minibar etc) as was the bathroom. It was very clean and seviced daily. We were at street level but still did have... more

This hotel was a great disappointment after over two weeks of top notch accomodations across in New Zealand for the same or less $. The TV audio was broken, the phone didn't work, there is no air-conditioning. Certainly not "well-appointed" as their advertisement in the AA Accomodations book states. more

The room was ok , the bed was great but the noise was very annoying , we had no view and were stuck on street level. What the hotel info does not tell you is that this hotel is on the main road in and out of Queenstown and as the rooms have no double glazing and wooden louvers that... more

I was booked into this hotel by a tour operator and nearly cried when I seen the room. The paintwork was dirty and chipped with worn and stained bed covers; it was what I would have expected from a poorly kept B&B back in the 70’s. It does have to be said that the staff where welcoming and there was... more

Very close to the road and no double glazing so you get all the heavy traffic noises all night long. Expensive continental breakfast NZ$16 Pillow menu advertised, staff didn't seem to know about this, eventually managed to deliver one feather pillow not two! more

Not bad

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst travelling around the South Island. We stayed in the main hotel and also a little chalet and both were clean and comfortable with nice views. The rooms were a little tired and dated. Checking in was very painless but checking out on a Sunday morning was v.painful and we could have missed... more
