We were very happy with our stay at Heartland Hotels, staff were helpful and pleasant, the beds were comfortable and the chalet was warm in the bedrooms. The children really enjoyed the shower/bath and bath gel. We had a great view of the lake and were only five minutes into town. We will stay here again.

Pointy roofed rooms with balconies greeted us to this chain of Scenic Hotels situated at the top of a hill 5 mins walk to CBD and 15mins back! Usual standards and staff courtesy/efficiency with clean well equipped rooms as expected for this Hotel Group. Wifi in Hotels is a rip off when simple B & B's can provide it for... More

Was there in January on our honeymoon & it was a perfect choice, superb location, hardly 5mins walking distance from pick up point of all major sightseeing / activities... Indian restaurants & Shopping also walking distance... Room was large, clean and amazing view... Big balcony facing the lake. The room we got was facing gondola as well... Nice breakfast spread... We stayed there one night with our 10 month old daughter. Weather was terrible that day and we got to Queenstown late in the evening from Milford Sound feeling exhausted. The receptionist lady gave us a warm welcome and help us to set up everything including the baby cot, bed sheets & blanket. The apartment room is clean and cozy... More

Hotel is Clean and comfortable. However, if you're travelling using an international phone. Or just need wifi, think again about staying here. $20 a day! Ridiculous. Cost for a few days wifi is more than room cost! Wouldn't recommend at all

We had a lake facing room with balcony and the view was amazing. Good size room, clean, very comfy bed, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. 5 min walk to the lakefront. Would definitely go back if we visit Queenstown again.

Very good value for a family apartment for $150NZD/night. Good two-for-one meals at the bar which we had as room service out on our balcony overlooking the lake.Short stroll down a steep hill to the lovely town including supermarket. Very helpful staff. Late checkout with no problem. Queenstown is a fairytale town and this accommodatin was a pleasure to come... More

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our 18 day New Zealand holiday. We were given a beautiful room which overlooked the beautiful Lake Wakatipu. The chalet-style rooms added to the grandeur. Though it was a bit pricy, it was well worth the price we paid. The rooms were large and very clean. It is located... More

The rooms are large and clean but in need of remodelling. Maintenance is also not beyond a 3 star hotel (we had sink pipe almostly completely blocked that was not repaired in 3 days). Service is friendly but not very efficient. Breakfast and dinner are good but not great. Both breakfast and dinner are missing fresh vegetables and diary choices... More

Only had one night's stay but would definitely stay again. Great location (it is on a little hill but keeps you fit! ) with the town centre a short walk away. Good parking area. We stayed in a 2 roomed chalet which had a lovely view over the lake. The staircase leading to the upstairs room was narrow but the... More
