Stayed here before and after our Milford Track hike and found this hotel to be a perfect place to overcome jet lag (before the hike) and sore feet (after the hike). We booked lake view rooms and were upgraded to suites at no charge - just ask. The suites were very big and comfortable. Excellent views of the lake. Staff... more

Stayed here for two nights either side of a Milford Track tramp and found the place great. Excellent reception service, well appointed rooms with perhaps the best hotel beds I have experienced anywhere and good convenient, quiet location. The lakeview rooms have great views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, breakfast is solid but like all hotels expensive and the... more

HSM doesn't feel like a hotel. It's nestled in the side of a hill overlooking the lake. The foyer is actually a fantastic place to relax - there is a fireplace and it's close to coffee and booze! Every member of staff that I had contact with was friendly and eagre to help in any way, but not smothering. There... more

We had the most amazing view from our balcony, the staff are so friendly and helpful, we truely loved the St Moritz. Not being a chain hotel means they go the extra mile for you. This is the point of diference that makes this hotel the BEST we've ever stayed in. Also the food is amazing!!! more

We stayed for three nights for our 30th wedding anniversary and we ended up eating at their restauraunt every night. Not just for the great food but for the great service by the wonderful waitresses they have there. The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and we had been given the best room in the house as it... more

Stayed at St Moritz in August 2009 for 7 days. We stayed in a one bedroom lakeview suite. It was new, clean and had good facilities. Bonuses were: a flat screen TV in the bedroom and living room, a brilliant shower and a washer/dryer in the apartment. One of the most impressive things about the hotel was the restaurant. We... more

This hotel is an excellent hotel and I would thoroughly recommend staying here. The staff are excellent and happy to help with anything, the concierge was proactive and very very helpful indeed (Michael I beleive). The breakfast is a nice hearty breakfast looking over the lake and with a nice cosy bar in the evening. The rooms were an excellent... more

We stayed at the St Moritz for 3 nights at the beginning of August. It is only a few minutes walk from the town centre and has a car park charged at $10 per day. We booked online from the UK and got a room with a lovely view of the lake. On check in we were given a leaflet... more

we booked our stay at St Moritz following other reviews on this facility. And yes you do need to pay more for a remarkable view of the lake and mountains...unless you like looking at a concrete retaining wall! We had mixed reations to this hotel. Firstly great food, exceptional service, and great location (just far enough away from the hussle... more

Our recently stay at the St Moritz was fantastic. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with the lakeview and it was absolutely stunning. The room was large and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The main thing that made our stay so great were the staff members who were always on hand to help and were... more
