I have stayed in a superior lake room. The room is pretty old but very clean. The veiw from the room is very beautiful. The location is also nice just only about 5 minutes walking to the city center. We stayed for 2 days 19, 20th Sep'09.. The views were awesome!!!...Had dinner at Ben Lomond Restaurant in Rydges. Had Garlic Bread and Pizza...Both were Over Priced...we thought if it tastes good its fine....but was very bad!!! absolutely no value!!! The views from the restaurant was great though...The room was good, amenities were fine...nice location...would love to go back again...if... more

I had a lovely 2 night stay at Rydges Lakeside Queenstown as part of my tour of NZ. The views from my room was wonderful. Of all the Rydges hotels I've stayed in over the years, this is the best one so far. Pity about the roadworks outside the hotel though. Well done to the team at Rydges Lakeside Queenstown. more

We had a lakeview room which was stunning. Each morning and evening we took about 50 photos! Recommend you leave the hotel meals alone and stroll up to the town which is approx 200 meters.
