Pretty decent hotel. The exterior looks way better than the interior but the rooms are still good although conditions look old. Very good customer service and excellent view from our room. Best of all, it's definitely one of the best hotels to go for considering its location and price. To sum it all up, it's a good hotel overall and... More

Stay in Superior room was terrible. Rooms are noisy, carpets are old, worn and lifting, bathrooms are attrocious with very low shower heads, peeling paint and damp problems. After complaining and seeing other rooms and even being offered upgrade still same problems. Only thing going for it is the view and the location.

Disappointing stay. The last time I experienced such a room it was called halls of residence at university. Small, poorly resourced noisy room; whilst not close, you could here the doors to to lifts crashing all the time. You also have to get 2 (slow) lifts to levels above the 6th and inevitable waiting and transfer time. However, the good... More

Firstly, the location is superb. It's in a very enviable position and the building looks good from the outside. The views across the lake from here are lovely. Inside though it's a bit disappointing and it is really just an average hotel which feels quite "tired". The room was ok but again could have done with an update. We enjoyed... More

I recently spent a few days staying that the Rydges Lakeland Resort and it was a lovely hotel, with the most spectacular views I have ever had from a hotel room! The staff were friendly and helpful on check-in and check-out. My rooms was a King Sized Lake View room - absolutely breathtaking views! The room was large, comfortable, clean... More

From the online check in before I arrived, to the help in ensuring that despite my stay having been made in two desperate bookings, I could keep the same room, to the free wifi, the service here was great. Well done Rydges! And the views over the lake are simply stunning, the best spot in Queenstown! Great restaurant, lovely fireside... More

Thanks to the lovely Beth at reception, our stay was very enjoyable. She was always so happy to help with booking our many tours and experiences. I had booked the room before reading all the negative reviews so was a little apprehensive, but my fears were unfounded. The room was nice and comfortable.

No hair dryer or plug to use your own dryer. Shower head permanently fixed and too low requiring you to have to bend backwards to rinse the soap out. Buffet breakfast was awful. Runny scrambled eggs and toasters that take 5 minutes to toast a piece of bread.

i stayed in this hotel for 6 nights , level 4. Initially I thought that the decor looked a bit dated, but it was a very comfortable and quiet room with a fabulous view over the lake. The bed was very comfortable. Also I did the check in thing the day before and asked for extra pillows and this was... More

The hotel is a bit tired looking. The rooms were quiet but cold. View from room was great. Had a meal in restaurant - good food - terrible service - had to ask for cutlery and napkin - food luke warm. Short walk to town and cafes. Recommend Vudo - busy but good coffee and food. Would not choose it... More
