We got a super cheap deal in a very quiet time of the year, $146 in total for two nights. There were few people in the hotel and we were upgraded to a lake front view room, this was a very nice touch. The room was clean, we had two big beds which worked out well as my beloved had... more

Thankfully we were upgraded to a Lakeview room, and I must say that the views are hard to believe, extremely beatiful! However the corridors smelled a bit. The staff was nice and helpful, and dinner at the restaurant was OK more

I booked this hotel through Wotif, and it was an autumn special of $99 per night including breakfast. The hotel was much further out of town than I expected, although it probably is only a 15 minute walk into town, but when it's 4 degrees outside, it's hard to get motivated to walk that far. Fortunately for us we had... more

I checked in here on the evening of May 4. I booked through Wotif.com and was promised in the description of the room a with "stunning views" - this was in the description of the room and in my confirmation. Also, according to the description the hotel was in a "fabulous location" - I booked the room expecting a lakeview... more

We really enjoyed our stays at this hotel. We came and went a few times during Feb/March 2009 and always felt that the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are a bit varied - some have obviously been renovated and others not. The renovated ones are really nice and the others are still okay. We were upgraded to... more

There is a reason this hotel is rated #28 of 66 hotels in Queenstown, it's very dated! I can not comment on lake views rooms, as we had a garden view room, so we faced the pool area. The lobby of the hotel is misleading. This part of the hotel has been renovated leading you to think your room would... more

First impressions were what amazing views of the lake and mountains, they could be enjoyed from the main dining room, breakfast room and the room we were given. Our room was spacious and well presented. Apart from the usual tea/coffee making facilities, the mini bar and directory detailing the resort facilities I was surprised to find a separate leaflet listing... more

The Hotel has a stunning location; my room, dining room etc. had incredib le views over Lake Wakitipu. Staff very friendly and attentive. Town is easily accessed by excellent bus service and local taxis. Helpful information and assistance for tours etc. readily available., Food good and well-priced. more

Stayed for 2 nights in 2009 and were very impressed. On arrival we were upgraded to a lake view room (as it seems everybody is after reading reviews below!) and the views of the lake and the remarkables from the window were unbelievable. Gym is good and also has the same amazing views. Hotel is about 15 mins walk from... more
