3 weeks ago a group of 6 of us traveled into Queenstown and stayed at Lomond Lodge for 3 nights. The place was clean and comfortable and they have a washer and dryer if you need to do a wash. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment and it was great. The owners were awesome and very helpful... more

We stayed at Lomond Lodge for four days and it was the perfect! If you are looking for a comfortable room to put on a change of clothes and sleep then this is the place to stay. The lodge was only a very short walk into town and was just down the road from the cable car at Queenstown hill.... more

Stayed here twice while traveling the South Island. On first arrival, we were able to check in early. Room was NZ$99. off-season rates. Could have paid $20-30 more for a view of the mountains. Short 5 minute walk to the shops in Queenstown. Staff were nice. Large room with toaster and microwave, and utensils. There is also a larger kitchen... more

Whilst travelling around New Zealand I had the fortune of stumbling across the lomond lodge motel, the staff couldn't do enough to help me, I stayed in one of their lake view rooms and thought the price was amazing for such a beautiful view. I had no problems at all while there, I can only assume the water pressure thing... more

Great value, and very nice location. Only a short walk to the gondola ride up the mountain, and a short walk to downtown QT. Quiet location, and a real nice courtyard. Staff was very friendly and courteous. more

I stayed 5 nights at the Lomond Lodge in March 2009 and haven't a bad word to say about it. The staff were friendly and the rooms (I stayed in several different ones as my 5 nights weren't consecutive) were comfortable, clean and with good facilities. The location is ideal, its only a 2 minute walk to the centre of... more

We had a group from San Diego, CA come down to Queenstown to go on the Grand Traverse, a 6 day trek here on the South Island. Several of us stayed here at the Lomond Lodge. This place was great, nice rooms with views of the lake and easy access to the town restaurants and shopping. The staff was very... more

Booked a weekend away in Queenstown and had a fantastic time! We were very impressed with the hotel, service was great and the cleanliness of the rooms was next to none! Hotel was nice and close to town and the lake too which was great. Was a little bit oncerned about the comment on here about the 'steps', however, there... more

Thanks for taking the time to load a review, and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us!!! Some people do worry about the comment on the steps, so thanks for clarifying there are other routes in to town. Hope to see you all again next year!

Despite it's excellent location just a couple of minute's walk from the centre of town we were a little disappointed with the aesthetics of the accommodation at Lomond Lodge...it just didn't look quite a nice as it had in the photographs. That said, we had plenty of room and the accommodation was well equipped with kitchen facilities and shared laundry. more

We had decided to stay at Lomond Lodge whilst visiting Queenstown and we were not disappointed. Our room on the first floor was spotless and the views were simply magnificent. We loved Queenstown and the location of the lodge afforded us easy access to the shops and restaurants. However, if you intend to walk the short distance, do bear in... more
