I stayed here in 1994 and decided to try it again, what a huge mistake. I am a kiwi and last year travelled round the world and I'm embarassed to say this is the worst dump I have seen for many a day. Obviously the previous family that owned it have long gone and the owners now have no pride... more

We stayed 2 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment at Christmas. The plus side was the fact that it was cheap and quiet. Hot water ran well. The down side was that the apartment was quite run down. The bed gave me a back ache. The sofas were old and made us itchy. The kitchen was small and '80's' style... more

Much of what was said is true. The staff is great. The price is right! 130 AUS, senior rate. But the rooms are somewhat seedy, internet too expensive (& the laundry & brkfst). Easy to find, is up a bit so you climb up the hill-but I like that, it's pretty invigorating, unless you ask my husband-he puffed a bit.... more

Although a bit worn at the edges, for an unexpensive motel in a tourist town, it was OK. There was a refrigerator, but no kitchen. The use of the motel laundry was expensive, so I suggest you do your laundry before getting to Queenstown. The breakfast they offered was very expensive compared to other places in NZ. The motel is... more

On the plus side, the two bedroom suite we had was spacious, and it was the best value I could find in Queenstown for a two bedroom unit, but the overall inn seemed run-down and a bit depressing. The second bedroom had three twin beds, but the the third bed was positioned in such a way that the door could... more

We planned our trip quite late, so it was quite hard for us to find a reasonable place to stay in Queenstown. Most motels were already booked out and it seemed like $270 a night was the cheapest option. We were very surprised when we found this lodge online because it was reasonably cheap and they still had rooms available... more

Stayed for 3 nights whilst skiing near Queenstown. Plus points: good value, small balcony with view of lake, owner helpful, laundry available (bit expensive though). Minus points: a telephone alert bell connected to fire bell outside our room (why do people ring hotels at 0600hrs?), everything quite basic, not enough heating in room, bit of an uphill trek back from... more

Stayed in a studio unit with King size bed. Very comfortable and quiet, had a great sleep. Staff very helpful gave us very good ideas for the days we spent here and booked our activities. Great breakfast would really reccommend. more

We enjoyed our stay here and found the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly about helping an extended family group of adults to book many of the varied outdoor and adventure activities and trips available in the Queenstown area. A good value for us. Rooms are clean and comfortable and we took advantage of the on-site laundry and breakfast. The... more

It was nice and centrally located with great views, comforable beds, and a great included breakfast for the price. The downsides were that some of the staff were abrasive (although others were quite friendly) and the shared bathroom was the tiniest, most compartmentalized thing I have ever seen in my life. So, bottom line, some good things and some drawbacks,... more
