Is exactly what it says - really good little B&B - biggest rooms at the top have the best views but even the lounge area really shows off Queenstown! Friendly and chatty staff and good quality rooms - only complaint would be that the bathroom was very dated BUT the shower worked well and was hot so that's a bonus... More

Nice and handy - friendly staff and nice views from the common lounge! We were made to feel especially welcome by Benji the gorgeous wee dog :-). Great breakfast team, and great breakfast! Very close to Ultimate Hikes if you are planning a walk! Would stay here again.

Breakfast included in this pleasant B&B situated close to town. The room was large, very clean and with new and extremely comfortable large beds. The staff are very friendly and helpful…we were given maps and directions including bookings made for the Shotover Jet which is a "must do". Will stay again if we ever have the opportunity.

I was in Queenstown four times In February 2015 and loved this B&B. It is very near the park and lakefront, has beautiful flowers out front and is in a hillside suburb two blocks up hill from the heart of Queenstown and near the entrance to the best hike that scales up 4000 feet. I stayed before and after hiking... More

We stayed at the Melbourne B&B for two nights. comfortable beds, very central - We were able to walk to town and not have to hassle with finding a park which is quite a benefit in Queenstown. Not flash, but very adequate and clean. Would recommend.

Melbourne Lodge is close by to the centre of Queenstown - just a five minute walk. We were pleased with our room and had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable king size bed. The buffet breakfast is good. Lots of tea or coffee and the toast just kept coming. There's the usual variety of cereals and fruit, cheese,... More

At first I was shocked at how expensive it was to stay somewhere decent in Queenstown and realised that this place was great value for what you get. I stayed here a week and all of the staff were great - they helped me organise my bungee jump and shotover jet and were always lovely to talk to. The breakfast... More

Great location to all that Queenstown has to offer. We walked to everything and didn't use the hire car for the 2 days we were there. The very welcoming doorman Benji (resident pooch) had his eye on all the goings on and lapped up our regular attention. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room, King/Ensuite Studio, was very... More

If you are keen on saving 25NZD dollars and do not care for other guests having the same same room key and walking in on you at night then go ahead. Otherwise book a motel across the street with big rooms, big TV and even swimming pools. Melbourne lodge is ok and on the good side offers breakfast. But apart... More
